Apple O'z is a limited F1 autoflower from Mephisto Genetics, bred from Appletizing and MephistO'z, whose cross partners were chosen by a vote.
Behind Apple O'z stand two lines from the breeder's own program: Mephisto Genetics crossed Appletizing with MephistO'z and released the feminized autoflower in August 2026 as a limited F1. Which strains were used in the second round of O'z crosses was decided by a vote among the breeder's followers, supplemented by suggestions from the breeder's team. Mephisto Genetics lists the indica share at 55 % and the sativa share at 45 %.
The mother line Appletizing traces back to Glitter Apples from Alien Genetics, a cross of Grease Monkey and a Sour Apple IBL, which Mephisto Genetics paired with a held-back Samsquanch OG F4. This line first appeared under the name Appletizer; in the current lineup it runs as Appletizing. On the father's side, MephistO'z is likewise a multi-part cross: Sour Stomper crossed with Double Grape, combined with the Oooze cut from 3rd Coast Genetics. The breeder lists both parent lines as F5, while Apple O'z is listed as F1, the first generation of this pairing, which according to the breeder has not gone through the test rounds of a catalog strain.
From the mother side's apple candy, sweet with a sour edge and a gas note, Mephisto Genetics expects a combination with the cheese, cream and chocolate notes of the O'z line. This describes the breeder's expectation for the cross, not the result of an analysis.
In growth habit the parents differ clearly. Mephisto Genetics describes Appletizing as a bushy indica that stretches early, forms a wide canopy of large fan leaves and requires removal and thinning of leaf mass so light reaches the lower tiers. According to the breeder, MephistO'z ranks among the largest plants in the lineup: upright structure, wide internode spacing, a dominant main cola, little leaf relative to flower, along with a strong odor already during the growth phase and low sensitivity to fertilization.
