Cannabis plant check by photo: spot leaf problems
Yellow leaves, brown spots, drooping plant? Upload a photo, pick stage and medium – the grow assistant tells you the most likely causes and what you can do now.
Check your plant
Your photo goes without metadata to an AI model by Google Cloud (EU) and is deleted after 24 hours without an account. The assessment may be wrong and does not replace your own check. Privacy
How the plant check works
- Take or choose a photo of your plant – ideally in daylight.
- Tap stage and medium. That's all you need to enter.
- A few seconds later: assessment, possible causes, how to tell them apart and what you can do now.
Frequently asked questions
What does the plant check detect?
Based on your photo it estimates how your plant is doing: discoloration, spots, drooping or curling leaves, signs of nutrient deficiency, over- or underwatering, heat, light stress or pests. You get the most likely causes, how to tell them apart and what you can do now.
How accurate is the assessment?
A photo alone doesn't show everything. Many problems look alike – whether it's pH, watering or climate only shows in measurements. The assessment is an AI assessment and may be wrong. It gets more accurate with your grow diary: there the check knows pot size, climate, pH/EC and your latest actions.
What happens to my photo?
We downscale it and remove metadata such as location and camera. For the assessment it goes to an AI model by Google Cloud in data centers in the EU, which is not trained on it. Without an account we keep the photo and result for only 24 hours so you can move them into your diary after signing up – then we delete both. If a person is visible, we delete the photo immediately.
Does the check cost anything?
No. Without an account you can do a few checks a day. With a free account you get checks in your diary as well – with your own measurements and warnings when something goes off track.
How do I take a good photo?
In white light or daylight, not under purple grow light. The whole plant or the affected leaf fills the frame and is sharp. No people in the picture.
