Zombie Kush is an indica-dominant cross of Sideral and Bubba Kush from Ripper Seeds, for which the breeder lists 26 competition placements.
Ripper Seeds cites 26 competition placements between 2014 and 2019 in its description of Zombie Kush, an indica-dominant cross of the in-house clone Sideral and Bubba Kush. The breeder lists first places for, among others, the Indica category of the Copa UCLA 2016, the hybrid categories of Bio Cup 2016, Fire Bowl 2017 and Karma Cup 2018, and for extracts at the Secret Cup 2017 and the Masters Cup 2017, the latter in the solvent-free class. The oldest entries are 2nd places in extract and resin categories from 2014, for example at Spannabis in Barcelona and the Copa Catalunya Grows Profesional. In 2018 the Soft Secrets title Chica del Año was added. The wins at the Copa UCLA and the Secret Cup, which another strain description assigns to the edition in Naples, are also documented outside the breeder's page.
Ripper Seeds, a seed company from Barcelona, counts Zombie Kush among its earliest breeding projects. According to the breeder, it began with an older Lavender Kush cutting pollinated by Amnesia. From this cross the breeder selected the clone Sideral and later crossed it with Bubba Kush. According to the breeder, Sideral contributes the floral sweetness and a slight citrus touch, while Bubba Kush reinforces the indica dominance, the resin production and an earthy depth. Strain descriptions put the ratio at 80 % indica and 20 % sativa.
Zombie Kush has become a parent itself: for Zombie Bride, Ripper Seeds crossed the strain with an elite clone of Wedding Cake.
Ripper Seeds describes a floral-sweet aroma on an earthy, spicy base with citrus notes from the Amnesia line; the breeder calls the flavor dry. Other strain descriptions emphasize lavender, complemented by berry, pine and wood. User reports describe lavender with mixed berries, an earthy, pungent smell and a sweet flavor. Strain descriptions name caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene as the dominant terpenes but disagree on whether caryophyllene or myrcene ranks first.
One strain description lists 13 % THC with 0 % CBD. In user reports, consumers cite roughly 10 % and 30 % THC for individual batches, and even at the lower figure the consumer described the effect as markedly strong.
Ripper Seeds describes the effect as deep and long-lasting, with progressive mental detachment. The core of the user reports is a heavy physical relaxation that can turn into drowsiness, accompanied by euphoria, uplifted mood and hunger. Several consumers first notice a clear, focused or creative head before the body effect sets in; a few felt stimulated and talkative. Others report couchlock within a few minutes. The reports name dry mouth, dry eyes and occasionally an urge to cough as side effects; strain descriptions add dizziness.
For indoor cultivation, Ripper Seeds gives 50 to 60 days of flowering; outdoors the season ends in October according to the breeder. The breeder rates the yield as high and recommends a generous vegetative phase and a low EC in growth and flowering. According to the description, the flowers are large, show purple tones and are richly covered in trichomes.
Grow reports describe bushy, compact plants with strong side shoots, dense, resinous buds and distinct purple coloring. One grower, by contrast, observed pronounced stretching with large internode gaps, and another found that the plants tolerated nearby fans poorly. Several growers consider the strain easy to cultivate. One user report describes an outdoor grow from late April to September with pre-growing indoors, in which the plants reached about 7 feet and yielded just under 2 US pounds per plant.
Besides the feminized original version, Ripper Seeds lists Zombie Kush Auto with the same lineage of Sideral and Bubba Kush. For this version the breeder gives 50 to 60 days from germination to harvest and likewise a high yield. A separate line under a similar name is Original Zombie Kush, also called OZ Kush, from Hoku Seed Co.: a hemp strain with a CBG emphasis whose F3 was crossed from F2 plants #32 and #29 of the same line. The description names no connection to the strain from Ripper Seeds.

Feminized, photoperiod original version; yield rated by the breeder only qualitatively as high, outdoor harvest in October.
Autoflowering version from the original breeder with stated lineage Lavender Kush x Amnesia (clone Sideral) x Bubba Kush. The breeder gives the 50 to 60 days as flowering or as the cycle from germination to harvest, therefore not converted into autoflower_total_weeks. Yield rated qualitatively as high.
Hemp line with a CBG emphasis under a similar name; F3 from Original Zombie Kush F2 #32 (CBG) x Original Zombie Kush F2 #29 (CBG). The source names no connection to the strain from Ripper Seeds. Details come from a cultivation business, not from the breeder.

Several consumers first notice a clear, focused or creative head, a few felt stimulated and talkative; others report couchlock within a few minutes. One grower observed pronounced stretching with large internode gaps instead of compact growth. One consumer found the terpene profile rather unremarkable. THC values cited by consumers for individual batches range between roughly 10 % and 30 %.
