User reports on this cross of Critical Mass and White Widow disagree on whether Critical Widow stimulates the mind or weighs on the body. Some consumers describe a clear, talkative state and expressly associate the strain with daytime, while others report a heavy body effect up to couchlock, along with drowsiness. Several seed companies sell feminized seed under the name; who released the cross first is not clearly documented.
Community Experiences:
Across 32 user reports from 2014 to 2026, euphoria, good mood and relaxation recur throughout the accounts, along with talkativeness, giggling and an occasional tingling in the body. Several reports say the effect sets in with a delay and then becomes markedly stronger; one report gives about 10 minutes until onset.
The reports disagree on the character of the effect. Some consumers find the strain energetic and head-focused, while others describe it as heavy and sleep-inducing and prefer quiet surroundings to lively places. One report compares the strength with Gorilla Glue, and a few ratings are explicitly negative. Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as unwanted side effects; one strain description additionally lists dizziness.
Aroma and Flavor:
Bluedog Genetics describes aroma and flavor as citrus, sweet fruit and an earthy undertone. Green Fantasy Seeds speaks of a sweet flavor with fruity notes, Philosopher Seeds of an intense, sweet scent. Other strain descriptions add herbal and pungent notes as well as berry. The user reports mention orange, spicy undertones and blackberry, and one consumer found the smell unpleasantly skunky. Occasionally unusual comparisons appear, such as black garlic or pickle. One strain description names limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene as the dominant terpenes.
Genetics and Origin:
All evaluated sources agree on the parent strains. Critical Mass is attributed to Mr. Nice Seedbank and traced back to Afghanistan and Skunk #1; for White Widow, a descent from Brazilian and Indian material is considered likely but is not confirmed. A single strain description also attributes Critical Widow itself to this breeder.
The figures on the sativa-to-indica ratio contradict each other: Green Fantasy Seeds and one further description give 60 % sativa and 40 % indica, while another classifies the strain as predominantly indica. A selection from the Green Fantasy Seeds version, labeled Kinder Cut, was used by Space GenetiX as a parent of Gorilla Kinder and crossed with Gorilla Glue #4 × Polar Bear.
THC and CBD Content:
Bluedog Genetics states 20 to 24 % THC, Philosopher Seeds 19 to 25 %, and Green Fantasy Seeds 26 % THC with 0.46 % CBD for its version. Strain descriptions not tied to a breeder give 20 to 27 % THC, one of them additionally 1 % CBG.
Versions from Different Breeders:
Philosopher Seeds estimates 7 to 8 weeks of flowering for its feminized version, 550 g/m² indoors and 450 g per plant outdoors with harvest in October, and rates cultivation as easy. At Green Fantasy Seeds, flowering takes 60 to 65 days, the yield is 500 g/m² indoors and 500 to 650 g per plant outdoors, and harvest in the Northern Hemisphere falls in the first week of October. Because of the strong, head-focused effect, this breeder considers the strain unsuitable for inexperienced consumers.
Bluedog Genetics gives 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, 550 to 650 g/m² indoors and 650 to 750 g per plant outdoors. According to the breeder, the plants reach 120 to 150 cm indoors and 150 to 180 cm outdoors, require a temperate climate with 22 to 27 °C and are likewise rated as easy to grow.
Cultivation:
Grow reports paint a mixed picture. One grower describes dense flowers, a high nutrient demand and a flowering time of 7 to 10 weeks; another highlights large, resinous but loose flowers, and a third calls the flowers somewhat stringy and attributes this to the genetics. While one report mentions very high yields, in another grow the strain was the only one of 6 that developed poorly and yielded hardly anything.
