The White Angel
also known as White Angel OG
The White Angel, also known as White Angel OG, is a balanced hybrid of White Widow and SFV OG that has been widespread in Los Angeles for years.
For many years, The White Angel, also listed as White Angel OG, has been among the strains widespread in Los Angeles. According to one strain profile, it was bred by breeders who themselves go by the name White Angel; another description names White Angel Farms and places the operation in California. The lineage traces back to White Widow and SFV OG, and several descriptions attribute a THC content of around 30 % to the strain.
Genetics and Origin:
White Widow and SFV OG are given as the parents, the latter listed as the San Fernando Valley selection of OG Kush. The role of backcrossing is presented differently: one description speaks of a White Widow backcrossed three times and then crossed with SFV OG, while others call The White Angel itself a triple backcross of both parent strains. Classification as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa share appears in several sources.
Anesia Seeds used the strain as a parent for Imperium X, a cross following the scheme (City of God x The White Angel) x Future #1. It should not be confused with White Angel R1 from Lost Labs Genetics, which according to that breeder is a CBD-rich selection from Candida CD-1.
Aroma and Flavor:
Pine and sweet citrus form the core of the scent in the descriptions, joined by earthy tones and diesel. One description speaks of sour oranges, another of a sweet citrus note that turns sour; two others describe the smell as pungent. Differing from this, one profile lists sweet, floral and earthy notes.
The flavor continues the combination of sweet citrus and pine. On the exhale and in the aftertaste, diesel and fuel come forward; one source describes the body as musky earth, another lists pineapple. A user report on a concentrate describes tropical notes at low temperature that shift to diesel at higher heat.
Effects:
Descriptions and user reports outline a two-phase course: first a sudden, stimulating rush with mental alertness and talkativeness, later relaxation and sleepiness dominate, accompanied by a tingling in the body. Euphoria and elevated mood are mentioned repeatedly, and individual reports mention creativity, focus, giddiness or increased arousal. Assessments differ on strength. One report describes the effect as heavy and indica-like, another as gentle and slow to set in.
Reported side effects include dry eyes and dry mouth, as well as nervousness and paranoia, which one description links to the high THC content. Two descriptions mention a pronounced reluctance to move. A report on a concentrate of the strain considers its intensity too high for novice consumers.
THC Content:
The figures vary widely. One profile states that the strain regularly reaches 30 % total THC or more, others give 27 to 30 %. Another, by contrast, lists only 14 % THC together with 7 % CBG, values that deviate clearly from the other figures.
Lab Results:
A strain page reproduces the results of a lab report without naming the lab, year or sample type. It lists 32.95 % THCA, 29.49 % THC, 0.09 % CBD and 0.22 % CBG. This is a single measurement. Another description, by contrast, gives 2.8 % CBD.
For terpenes, the report lists 0.97 mg/g limonene, 0.95 mg/g beta-caryophyllene, 0.8 mg/g alpha-humulene, 0.56 mg/g myrcene and 0.18 mg/g linalool. Without measured values, other profiles name the same main terpenes limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene, but in part put caryophyllene first and add pinene and linalool.
Cultivation:
Two profiles describe the strain as suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Only one gives specifics: 8 to 10 weeks of flowering indoors, outdoor harvest in October, medium difficulty, a warm climate as the preferred condition and a moderate yield indoors and outdoors.
The flowers are described as large and round to cluster-shaped, light to mint green in color, with orange hairs and a thick white trichome layer. Another profile highlights the well-developed flower structure and strong resin production.
