According to Humboldt Seed Company, Dream Queen is ready for harvest after 45 days of flowering, and in this short phase the plants double in size, the breeder states. The breeder developed the sativa-dominant strain from Green Crack, Mazar Star and Skunk #1. In California, a cross of Blue Dream and Space Queen is also passed on as a clone under the same name, with no breeder documented. The available sources leave open which of the two lines carried the name first.
Cultivation:
For the feminized version, Humboldt Seed Company gives a yield of up to 550 g/m² indoors and up to 900 g per plant outdoors, where harvest is expected between 15 September and 1 October. The breeder rates cultivation as easy, describes the buds as strikingly green, and considers the strain well suited to greenhouse growing with light deprivation (Light Dep). As starting material for water hash, Humboldt Seed Company states a yield of up to 3 %. One strain description lists indoor, outdoor and greenhouse as possible growing locations.
One grow guide sees the pronounced stretch as the biggest challenge in indoor cultivation and generally considers a vegetative phase of 2 to 3 weeks sufficient. Untopped, the plant grows in a fir-tree shape with one dominant main cola; topped early, it can be trained into an even canopy under a SCROG net. The same source credits the strain with high resistance to pests and mold and states that it tolerates full doses of fertilizer during flowering without showing burn.
For the autoflower variant Dream Queen Auto, Humboldt Seed Company gives 100 days from sowing to harvest. One strain description lists it as a cross of Dream Queen with an unspecified ruderalis.
Versions from Different Breeders:
The two pedigrees share no parent. Humboldt Seed Company combines Green Crack, the Afghan line Mazar Star and Skunk #1 and offers the strain as feminized and as autoflower, with up to 23 % THC stated by the breeder for both. Statements on stabilization differ: the breeder labels the line BX4 S3 on its strain page, while a strain description gives S2.
For the clone line from Blue Dream and Space Queen, one strain description gives a sativa share of 70 %, 19 to 22 % THC and about 0.5 % CBD. Another places its origin in Southern California.
As a parent, the Dream Queen from Humboldt Seed Company appears in Apple Blossom, California Octane, Kona Queen and Stoopid Fruits, among others. Equilibrium Genetics crossed a Dream Queen as mother plant with a father from the Glue line to make Dream Queen Glue. The breeder describes the Dream Queen used as an early-maturing, indica-dominant hybrid with large, medium-firm buds, which differs from the classification of both lines as sativa-leaning.
Aroma and Flavor:
The scent descriptions also diverge along the two lines. Humboldt Seed Company describes its own version as sweet and skunky with orange and pine, and elsewhere adds a spicy hash note and wood. For the cross of Blue Dream and Space Queen, tropical notes come to the fore: pineapple, mango and bubblegum, plus citrus, menthol and floral tones, underlaid with earthy and rubbery notes. For flavor, strain descriptions also list sage, tar and pine. Consumers occasionally report peppery and minty impressions or berries and orange.
The information on the terpene profile comes from strain descriptions and contradicts itself: one names myrcene, caryophyllene and ocimene as dominant, another, citing a lab test, alpha-pinene, humulene and myrcene.
Effects:
Which line was consumed rarely emerges from the user reports. They describe an uplifted, stimulating mood in which creativity, focus and talkativeness increase; euphoria and giddiness are also mentioned. Some consumers notice a creeping course in which the effect starts in the head and later shifts into physical relaxation up to tiredness, and one reports a strong heaviness. Others find the strain activating from start to finish. Humboldt Seed Company describes the effect of its own version as light and energetic.
As side effects, consumers name dry eyes and dry mouth, along with dizziness, restlessness and, in individual cases, paranoia. One report describes the smoke as harsh and dry.
