Two documented indoor grows of Fruit Punch from Heavyweight Seeds seeds produced quite different plants. One stayed at about 100 cm under LED, grew in a fir-tree shape with strong, medium-length to long side branches and was ready for harvest after 56 days of flowering; the report describes its dried buds as hard and compact and the yield as slightly above average. The other shot upward, set only a few short, thin side branches and flowered for more than 70 days at an average yield; its grower wanted to work with a SCROG net in the next run. In both cases the plant in question is the sativa-leaning cross of Skunk, Haze and Northern Lights that several suppliers list. A strain of the same name with a different lineage also exists.
Genetics and Origin:
Heavyweight Seeds names Skunk, Haze and Northern Lights as parent strains and puts the sativa share at 70 % and the indica share at 30 %. Other descriptions specify the Skunk portion more precisely as Skunk #1.
As a parent, Fruit Punch appears in several crosses. Heavyweight Seeds combined it with New York Diesel to make Diesel Drift, Humboldt Seed Organization paired it with Purple Punch to make Passion Punch, and Herbies Seeds crossed Mimosa with Fruit Punch for Mimosa Shot.
Aroma and Flavor:
Heavyweight Seeds describes the smell, in brief, as very sweet and fruity. Other strain descriptions add tropical fruit, apricot, berries and citrus with an herbal component; one mentions an undertone of Skunk and Haze as well as pine, and one producer a slight fuel note beneath the fruit. Myrcene, caryophyllene and ocimene are named as the leading terpenes.
In flavor, consumers highlight citrus and herbs with subtle sweetness. Some taste sour apple with berries or something earthy with spice and a Haze character.
Effects:
Heavyweight Seeds describes the effect as mood-lifting and creative and associates it with social gatherings. User reports paint a similar picture: consumers describe drive and focus, a desire to talk and to do creative work, and good spirits up to silliness, some also a very fast onset. A few reports, by contrast, describe the strain as sedating, up to sluggishness on the sofa and a foggy head.
Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as side effects. Individual consumers report restlessness and paranoia, headaches after heavy use, and racing thoughts when they have nothing to occupy them.
THC and CBD Content:
For its version, Heavyweight Seeds states 22 % THC and 1.2 % CBD. Other strain descriptions give 18 to 25 % THC and 1 % CBD, and another lists 2 % CBG.
Lab Results:
A single measurement of a flower sample under this name is publicly available (SC Labs, 2025). The lab determined 25.4 % THCA and 0.7 % Δ9-THC, along with 0.2 % THCV and 0.1 % CBG; CBD was not detectable. The terpene content was 1.23 %. The analysis does not show which breeder the measured plant came from.
Cultivation:
Heavyweight Seeds states 8 weeks of flowering, with the outdoor harvest in the northern hemisphere expected in late September. The breeder gives 600 g/m² indoors and up to 1000 g per plant outdoors, and a height of 100 to 160 cm indoors and 180 to 220 cm outdoors. The breeder rates the strain as robust and suitable for beginners, describes fast, branching growth and highlights resin production for extraction. Of the two documented grows, one kept to the stated flowering time while the other clearly exceeded it.
Versions from Different Breeders:
Zamnesia Seeds lists a Fruit Punch with the same stated lineage of Skunk #1, Haze and Northern Lights but names no originating breeder. The supplier states 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, up to 600 g/m² indoors and up to 900 g per plant outdoors, plus 120 cm height indoors and 160 cm outdoors, 22 % THC and 0 to 1 % CBD.
- Fruit Punch Auto by Heavyweight Seeds: Skunk, Haze and Ruderalis with an 80 % sativa share; according to the breeder 21 % THC and 1.1 % CBD, 70 to 80 days from germination, 90 to 120 cm in height, 600 to 800 g/m² and 150 g per plant, with lemon, lime and sweet mango in the aroma.
- Fruit Punch Autoflower by Zamnesia Seeds: Skunk #1, Haze and Ruderalis, up to 21 % THC, 10 to 11 weeks from seed to harvest, up to 400 g/m² indoors and up to 250 g per plant outdoors.
- Fruit Punch by Greenpoint Seeds: a separate cross of Clementine and Purple Punch, feminized only, 70 to 80 days of flowering, with citrus, grape and sour notes in the aroma.
