Under lamp light, the buds of Silver Bubble show a silvery sheen according to Reserva Privada, and the breeder also attributes mold resistance and good tolerance of cool temperatures to the plant. By the breeder's account, the hybrid is made up of one quarter Northern Lights, one quarter Skunk and one half Haze. Before it was released as seed, it was for years the best-known strain of the Amsterdam coffeeshop Grey Area, according to the breeder.
Cultivation:
Without height control the plant stretches considerably according to the breeder; Reserva Privada advises pinching or topping the main shoot. The breeder rates the nutrient demand as medium to high. According to Reserva Privada, flowering ends after 10 weeks at most, outdoors in mid-October, and the breeder gives the indoor yield as 500 to 600 g/m². Other strain descriptions give a flowering time of 10 to 11 weeks or 70 days.
According to one strain description, 2 phenotypes are known from seed, one indica-leaning with shorter flowering and one sativa-leaning with longer flowering. Besides feminized seeds, a regular variant is described.
A documented indoor grow confirms the stretch: during flowering the plant grew from 30 to around 85 cm, was ready for harvest after 70 days and gave a slightly above-average yield. Another grower observed weak growth and late flowering outdoors.
Genetics and Origin:
The lineage is listed as a cross of a Northern Lights × Skunk line with Haze. One strain description shortens it to Northern Lights × Skunk #1, another gives the combination [Skunk × Haze] × [NL5 × Haze].
Reserva Privada is a seed label of DNA Genetics, founded in Amsterdam by Don Morris and Aaron Yarkoni. Yarkoni describes the line as a platform for breeders from the team's home country whom he and his partner admired; the label itself presents as a collective of unnamed breeders from the US West Coast. Some sources therefore list Silver Bubble directly under DNA Genetics.
The strain appears as a parent in several lines. DNA Genetics crossed it with LA Confidential to make Silver LA, and under Reserva Privada the cross with OG #18 produced Silver Kush. Pheno Finder Seeds pollinated a selected Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse Seeds with a male Silver Bubble and named the result Lemon Bubble. Blue Bubbleberry from Dready Seeds is recorded as a further offspring.
Aroma and Flavor:
The breeder speaks of a consistent Haze character running from the smell through the smoke to the aftertaste. Strain descriptions add a sandalwood-like spiciness as well as sweet citrus and lemon notes, in places as sour lime with a creamy, buttery finish. User reports mention fruity candy and bubble gum tones; one grower prefers a phenotype with sweet candy and citrus notes, while one consumer describes the smell as gassy. Myrcene, terpinolene and caryophyllene are listed as terpenes, without measured values.
Effects:
Consumers describe a pronounced head effect with euphoria and cheerfulness; talkativeness, silliness, drive and concentration are also mentioned. On whether the strain is stimulating or tiring, the reports diverge: alongside accounts of a clear, activating effect are others in which the initial stimulation turns into relaxation and drowsiness. One grower describes the effect as strong and long-lasting, with tolerance building up only slowly. Dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness and, at a higher dose, paranoia are named as side effects.
THC Content:
Strain descriptions give 15 to 20 % THC.
