Green Kush is mostly listed as a cross of Green Crack and Purple Kush; users describe the effects as partly stimulating, partly strongly tiring.

Research as of 11/04/2026

Consumers who have tried Green Kush describe two rather contrasting pictures of its effects. Some report alertness, focus and a lifted mood, while others, by their own account, became so tired that they fell asleep. The strain is mostly listed as a cross of Green Crack and Purple Kush, and none of the descriptions names a breeder.

Genetics and Origin:

Green Crack is named as a parent in all the information, but the second parent is a point of disagreement. Besides Purple Kush, one strain description also gives OG Kush as a possible crossing partner, and an older user report likewise calls the strain Green Crack x OG Kush. The same description speaks of unknown breeders and lists Green Kush #2 as another name.

There is also no uniform view on the classification between indica and sativa. One description classes Green Kush as an indica and at the same time speaks of a plant with a slight indica lean, another gives 60 % indica and 40 % sativa, and a third a ratio of 50 to 50.

Effects:

Strain descriptions outline a course in 2 stages: first a stimulating, head-centered effect, then a heavy body feeling. Both components appear in consumer reports, though sometimes only one of them. On one side there are euphoria, good mood, focus, creativity and talkativeness. On the other, consumers describe relaxation, heaviness in the muscles and marked sleepiness. Several reports describe a delayed onset, with the body effect only becoming noticeable after some time.

The reports disagree on duration: some found the effects short, others long-lasting, even after small amounts. Some consumers had expected an effect like Green Crack because of the name and found that expectation unmet.

The reports list dizziness and balance problems, paranoid thoughts at higher doses, headaches, a foggy feeling, burning eyes and dry mouth as accompanying effects. Strain descriptions also list dry eyes.

Aroma and Flavor:

Pine and citrus recur in the aroma descriptions, supplemented by floral and spicy notes as well as herbs. One description mentions diesel, another the smell of a mossy forest floor. For flavor, sweetness, orange and apple are added. Consumers highlight a strong lemon note, but also describe the taste as fruity and mellow or, in isolated cases, as bitter; one report mentions a tropical aroma. Myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene are given as the predominant terpenes in strain descriptions.

THC and CBD Content:

For THC, strain descriptions give 18 %, while a grow description gives 22 to 24 %. The figures for the other cannabinoids contradict each other: one description lists 1 % CBD, another lists 1 % CBG instead.

Cultivation:

Flowering time is given as around 8 weeks, and a grow description gives 7 to 8 weeks. The descriptions rate the difficulty as medium, with one noting that trimming and nutrient supply require practice. The plants stay low to medium in height, and the descriptions rate yield as medium to good. The strain is considered suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation.

According to the same grow description, Green Kush prefers a warm, dry climate with plenty of light, shows resistance to common mold and mildew pathogens and is harvested outdoors between late September and early October. The flowers are described as dense and deep green with numerous orange hairs. One consumer reports flowers with partly purple coloring.

Consensus

The reports agree on a clear head and mood component (euphoria, good mood) and, for flavor, a strong citrus or lemon note.

Divergent reports

The effects are described partly as stimulating and promoting focus, partly as strongly tiring; the reports contradict each other on duration (short vs. long-lasting). Several reports describe a delayed onset of effects. Some consumers had expected an effect similar to Green Crack and did not find it confirmed. An older report gives Green Crack x OG Kush as the lineage.
