None of the descriptions of Magic Beans OG names parent strains: the lineage is listed as unknown, and an original breeder is not documented. The figures for the indica share also differ. Two descriptions give 70 % indica and 30 % sativa, another 80 to 20, and a feminized version attributed to Advanced Genetics is considered pure indica.
Aroma and Flavor:
Earthy notes, pine and lemon appear in several descriptions, often complemented by woody notes. A sweet scent, a chemical note and spicy and minty touches in the flavor are also mentioned. A user report describes the smell as fruity. The dominant terpenes listed in strain descriptions, not lab analyses, are limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene.
THC and CBD Content:
In strain descriptions, THC figures range from 16 to 20 %, and one of them also lists 1 % CBG. CBD is given there as 0 % and 0.1 % respectively.
Effects:
Consumers report a relaxing, body-centered effect accompanied by an elevated, euphoric mood; the strain is described several times as sleep-inducing. Individual reports mention tingling in the body, giddiness or creative impulses. Assessments of its heaviness differ: one person found the strain less lethargy-inducing than other indicas, another reported strong sedation with heavy eyelids. Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as side effects, and individual descriptions also list dizziness, headaches, nervousness and paranoia.
Cultivation:
Two strain descriptions give the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks and rate cultivation as easy. Low growth is mentioned several times. One description cites a compact, bushy habit, an outdoor harvest in mid-October and resistance to common mold and powdery mildew fungi; it places the strain in a dry, sunny climate and considers it suitable for indoor as well as outdoor cultivation.
Accounts of the flower structure differ. One description names long, bean-shaped buds in light mint green with thin amber hairs and dense trichome coverage, another diamond-shaped flowers in forest green with white resin. A user report highlights the density of the buds.
Versions from Different Breeders:
A feminized, photoperiod version is attributed to Advanced Genetics, and its origin is likewise considered uncertain. For it, 55 to 65 days of flowering, up to 350 g/m² indoors and up to 400 g per plant outdoors are given, along with 18 % THC and 2 % CBD. The CBD value is thus clearly higher than in other descriptions. Whether this version is genetically identical to the rest of the strain described under the name is left open by the sources.
