Orange Valley OG × Cookies & Cream, 60 % indica / 40 % sativa; medium height, high yield (“Heavy Producer”), growing as a multi-topped bush recommended; aroma “Creamy Orange Gas”. Documented only as regular.
also known as Orange Cream #26
Orange Cream is an indica-leaning hybrid from Exotic Genetix, bred from Orange Valley OG and Cookies & Cream and described with orange and cream aromas.
Anyone who lines up the descriptions of Orange Cream side by side will find orange and a creamy sweetness everywhere. Exotic Genetix, the original breeder, adds a note of fuel, while other strain descriptions mention vanilla and pepper. The indica-leaning hybrid traces back to Orange Valley OG and Cookies & Cream and is also listed as Orange Cream #26. Under the same name there is also Orange Cream from Dark Horse Genetics, a sativa-leaning strain with a different lineage.
On the nose, citrus and pine appear alongside the orange, with an intense, musty tone underneath. For the taste, candy-like sweetness and vanilla are mentioned, and the comparison to an orange cream ice pop is also drawn. User reports are less consistent. Some confirm the orange, others found the taste bitter and chemical with no recognizable fruit, and one consumer noticed clear differences between 2 purchases. A live resin extract of the strain was described as bitter orange with a smoky-sweet aftertaste.
Orange Valley OG served as the mother and Cookies & Cream as the father. Exotic Genetix gives the ratio as 60 % indica to 40 % sativa, another strain description as 70 to 30. The original version is documented only as regular seed.
At least 2 crosses build on the strain. Forbidden Genetics crossed Kimbo Kush with Orange Cream and selected the offspring specifically for purple coloration and terpene profile; the result was Orange Sorbet. For Lemongrass Lo Mein, Boston Bob took an F2 line of Orange Cream and Starfighter from Exotic Genetix and crossed it with FishPiss.
Strain descriptions list β-caryophyllene, myrcene and limonene as the dominant terpenes, in that order. A single measurement by MCR Labs from 2024 showed a different ranking: terpinolene at 0.26 % was just ahead of myrcene at 0.25 % and caryophyllene at 0.23 %, followed by humulene at 0.14 % and farnesene at 0.11 %. Limonene reached 0.08 % in this sample.
The same MCR Labs sample from 2024 contained 16.8 % total THC with 17.0 % THCA. CBD was not detectable, CBG was determined at 0.10 % and its acid form CBGA at 0.28 %. Other strain descriptions give 19 % THC, and another 0.2 % CBD.
Several user reports describe relaxation and a tingling body sensation, sometimes accompanied by talkativeness. Other consumers found the strain more stimulating, with drive, focus and creative impulses; one reports elevated mood and arousal. A summary of user ratings links these differences to the amount: more creative and energetic at a low dose, more sedating at a higher one. In one report, drowsiness was the main effect.
As side effects, consumers name dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness, headaches, nervousness and paranoia, and in one case an urge to cough. One report attributed the headaches to a possibly poorly flushed batch.
For the original version, Exotic Genetix gives 56 to 63 days of flowering, medium height and high yield, suited to indoor and outdoor growing. The breeder advises growing the plant as a multi-topped bush. The flowers are described as dense, light green with dark purple shading and orange pistils.
A feminized version comes from Blimburn Seeds, which the breeder traces to the same parents but classifies as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica. Blimburn Seeds gives 8 to 10 weeks of flowering, 400 to 450 g/m² indoors, 500 to 650 g per plant outdoors with harvest in October, a height of about 1.5 m and 18 to 20 % THC.
Genetically distinct is Orange Cream from Dark Horse Genetics, a sativa-leaning cross of Orange Dot and a Lemon male. The breeder emphasizes the strong orange aroma, high yields and heavy resin production; flowering takes about 70 days, and the seeds are regular. Another strain description names an unknown strain as the second parent instead of the Lemon father.
Automatically Delicious describes the autoflowering Orange Cream Auto as a cross of Orange Cream and an autoflower line, without specifying which Orange Cream was used. For this version, 9 to 10 weeks from germination and 15 to 20 % THC are given.
