Concord Cream

Large, rounded, puffy calyces that turn purple are what Exotic Genetix puts in the foreground with Concord Cream. The breeder crossed its Grape Bubba as the mother with a father from the F2 generation of its Cookies & Cream and rates the result as 70 % indica. According to the breeder's account, the strain was intended as a Grape Bubba with a denser resin coat and a rounder, softer flavor.

Cultivation:

Exotic Genetix gives Concord Cream a flowering time of 50 to 60 days and lists the strain exclusively as regular seeds. According to the breeder, the plants reach medium height; yield is rated as high, without figures in grams. Cultivation is intended indoors and outdoors, and the strain details for the seed note Sea of Green as the growing method.

Beyond the calyces, other strain descriptions portray cone-shaped flowers in dark olive green with a violet undertone, strong orange hairs and abundant trichomes with a purple sheen.

Genetics and Origin:

Grape Bubba traces back to Purple Urkle and Bubba Kush, both handed down as clone-only cultivars. Cookies & Cream is a separate cross by Exotic Genetix from Girl Scout Cookies and Starfighter F2. One strain description gives the father differently as the F3 generation of Cookies & Cream, and another classes the strain as a balanced hybrid. Concord Cream itself has already served as a parent: Elev8 Seeds crossed it with Purple Punch to make Royal Punch.

Aroma and Flavor:

Grape dominates scent and flavor, accompanied by vanilla and a creamy sweetness. Strain descriptions also mention grapefruit with a sour note and a floral tone reminiscent of violets; one producer adds honey. One consumer noted an oily grape aftertaste.

Effects:

Consumers describe the effects of Concord Cream differently. Several reports describe an uplifting course with energy, focus, creativity and talkativeness; one noted no paralyzing bodily heaviness. Others reported mainly relaxation and euphoria that later gave way to tiredness, and in one case even a small amount unexpectedly caused strong drowsiness. Tingling is mentioned occasionally. Side effects that appear are dry mouth, dry eyes and dizziness.

THC and CBD Content:

A US producer reported 23.42 % THC and 0 % CBD for its flowers without naming the testing lab; this is a single figure. Strain descriptions are lower: one gives 22 % THC, another 15 to 18 %.

Lab Results:

For the terpene profile, an evaluation of lab certificates from various Concord Cream products is available. On average, β-caryophyllene leads at 0.49 %, followed by limonene at 0.20 %, humulene at 0.17 %, myrcene at 0.15 % and linalool at 0.14 %. The number of samples included is not stated, and individual batches may differ depending on cultivation. Caryophyllene, limonene and linalool are also named by other strain descriptions as defining terpenes.
