GSC × Fire OG Bx3; only regular seed documented, yield rated as average by the breeder, named for indoor and outdoor.
also known as Animal Crackers
Animal Cookies is a cross of GSC and Fire OG Bx3 by BC Bud Depot that circulates as a cutting and in seed versions from several breeders.
Animal Cookies is a cross made by BC Bud Depot, which paired its cutting of GSC, also known as Girl Scout Cookies, with Fire OG Bx3, a Fire OG line backcrossed three times. According to BC Bud Depot, the cross was meant to improve the potency, yield and structure of GSC while keeping its cookie aroma. Alongside the seed, a cutting of the same name exists that is passed on only as a clone and on which later breeding lines by other breeders are based.
The mother side comes with an award: BC Bud Depot cites a win in the hybrid category of the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup 2013 in Los Angeles for its GSC cutting. The title therefore belongs to the parent plant. Fire OG Bx3 traces back to OG Kush via Fire Kush. One strain description and one producer classify Animal Cookies as 75 % indica, while BC Bud Depot itself speaks only of an indica-sativa hybrid.
Animal Crackers is listed as an alias, although Cannarado Genetics released a separate cross of Animal Cookies and The White under that name. Documented descendants include Animal Mints by Seed Junky Genetics, made with SinMint Cookies, as well as Scooby Snacks and Tahoe Animal by Greenpoint Seeds, crossed with Ghost OG and Tahoe OG Kush respectively.
The BC Bud Depot version is documented only as regular seed. The breeder gives a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks, names indoor and outdoor as suitable and rates the yield as average. Seed Junky Genetics backcrossed the cutting to Animal Mints for a regular Bx1, so that growers without access to the clone can obtain its traits. This line is also listed with 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, along with medium yield, fast vegetative growth, medium to tall height and low nutrient demand.
A feminized version comes from Zamnesia, with the parentage given as Girl Scout Cookies and Fire OG. The breeder states 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, an outdoor harvest in September, up to 400 g/m² indoors and up to 400 g per plant outdoors at heights of 120 and 180 cm respectively, plus 21 % THC and 0 to 1 % CBD. The description mentions medium internodes, a strong main stem and moderate stretch; the plants are said to tolerate training well and resist pests, and Zamnesia rates cultivation as easy. According to Zamnesia, the autoflower variant of Animal Cookies and Ruderalis needs 9 to 10 weeks from sowing to harvest, while elsewhere on the same product page 10 to 11 weeks are given. Stated values are 19 % THC, up to 400 g/m² indoors, up to 200 g per plant outdoors and heights of 80 and 100 cm respectively.
Strain descriptions give THC values of 20 to 27 % for the name. A single measurement by the laboratory Cannabis ChemLab on flowers from Oregon returned 26.04 % total THC with 0.05 % CBD, which identifies the sample as THC-dominant.
Sweet cookie dough, cherry and vanilla over an earthy, sour base shape the descriptions, supplemented by pepper, nutty notes and the pungent spice of the OG side. BC Bud Depot emphasizes the cherry cookie aroma, while Zamnesia describes its version as floral and spicy with a light sweetness. User reports also mention cinnamon, ginger, cream and coffee; one grower described a phenotype that smelled of soap.
Caryophyllene ranks first in the terpene profile in one strain description and one producer listing, followed by limonene and then myrcene and humulene respectively. Another description lists humulene ahead of caryophyllene and myrcene, and Zamnesia names ocimene and caryophyllene for its own version.
Reports describe a fast-onset, mood-lifting start that turns into pronounced physical relaxation and, with rising dose, into drowsiness. Euphoria, cheerfulness and a tingling sensation are also named, along with creativity and focus. One consumer found the strain more relaxing than expected, while one grower found the effect of a phenotype grown from seed weak. Reported side effects are dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness, headache and nervousness.
The flowers are described as dense and frosty with purple tips and the leaves as dark; according to BC Bud Depot, the dried buds are very hard and compact. Because of this density, attention is drawn to adequate air circulation in the final phase. Grown from seed, the phenotypes vary and lean partly toward the GSC side and partly toward the Fire OG side.
Grow reports on the BC Bud Depot seed are mixed. Complaints concern poor germination rates, hermaphroditism and inconsistent plants. One documented grow reached 70 days of flowering; from 12 seeds it produced 4 male and 5 female plants, 2 of which developed hermaphrodite flowers in the 3rd week of flowering. The plants in this case grew mostly bushy with airy flowers, and a single phenotype delivered rock-hard buds with decent trichome coverage. Reports on the feminized Zamnesia version describe thick, dense flowers and good yield; one grower reported a hermaphrodite plant here as well.

Several breeders sell their own versions under this name. Each figure comes from the respective breeder.
