The team behind Flavour Chasers started out in England with the aim of making sought-after US strains available to British and European growers, and moved to California after legalization. Cookie Dough comes from that work. The breeders crossed Do-Si-Dos once more with Girl Scout Cookies, one of the two parents of Do-Si-Dos, and describe the result as strongly indica-dominant.
Genetics and Origin:
According to Flavour Chasers, Do-Si-Dos itself came from Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG. GSC therefore runs through both parents of Cookie Dough. Other strain descriptions also list the lineage of GSC and Do-Si-Dos.
A simpler statement of origin is also in circulation: several profiles treat Cookie Dough as a GSC phenotype and name no second parent. A supplier of cuttings, in turn, lists Forum Cookies and Do-Si-Dos as parents. The sources also disagree on classification. Against the breeder's strongly indica-dominant description stand figures that assume an indica and sativa share of 50 % each.
Aroma and Flavor:
Sweetness and mint run through several strain descriptions. These also list vanilla, earth, blue cheese, orange and skunky notes. Individual user reports mention cookie dough and hazelnut on the nose, sweet bread with berries, or sour pine. When smoked, some consumers found the draw smooth, while others found the exhale harsh.
Caryophyllene is named as the dominant terpene by 2 strain descriptions, followed by limonene; humulene and myrcene also appear. A US evaluation of lab certificates for various Cookie Dough products likewise puts beta-caryophyllene first, followed by nerolidol, limonene, myrcene and linalool. A third description, by contrast, puts myrcene, linalool and limonene in the foreground.
THC Content:
For its own version, Flavour Chasers states a THC content of 25 % and above. Other strain descriptions range from 18 to 25 %, and one of them also lists 1 % CBG.
Effects:
Flavour Chasers describes the effects as powerful, happy and euphoric and points to possible couch-lock effects. In the user reports, relaxation, good mood and euphoria recur, and several consumers found the effects strong and long-lasting. They disagree on the direction: some felt creative, focused, talkative or energized, others became sleepy, and some described a mixture of the two.
Side effects mentioned are dry mouth and dry eyes, and in isolated cases also dizziness, nervousness, paranoia, a foggy head with trouble concentrating, and ringing in the ears.
Cultivation:
Flavour Chasers offers Cookie Dough only as feminized, photoperiod seed and gives 9 to 10 weeks of flowering. According to the breeder, the strain can be grown indoors, outdoors and in a greenhouse. The breeder describes the flowers as dense, dark green with purple hints and rich in resin. In the strain description for this version, yield is rated high and plant height medium.
Versions from Different Breeders:
Only the name is shared between the Flavour Chasers cross and a CBD flower from US hemp cultivation. The producer describes it as a selected expression of Bubba Kush, derived from Pre-98 Bubba Kush and an indica not specified further, and lists it as a hemp flower with high CBD content.
