Breeder cites short flowering time, high yield and average stretch without figures; temperate to continental climate; best results in Sea of Green.
Sensi Skunk
For Sensi Skunk, Sensi Seeds crossed Skunk #1 with an undisclosed, very sweet mother plant; its citrus scent sets the variety apart from other Skunk lines.
The starting point of Sensi Skunk is Skunk #1 from the Sensi Seeds range. The Dutch breeder crossed it with a mother plant whose identity it does not disclose and describes only as exceptionally sweet. Sensi Seeds lists the result as an indica-dominant variety whose citrus scent is said to set it apart from other Skunk lines.
Genetics and Origin:
According to Sensi Seeds, the cross develops larger calyxes and shorter pistils than Skunk #1. It is offered as regular and feminized seed, and also as Sensi Skunk Automatic, for which the breeder combined Sensi Skunk with a ruderalis breeding line.
Sensi Skunk appears as a parent in several more recent varieties. Sensi Seeds combined it with Alpine Delight CBD to make Skunk Dream CBD and, for Tangerine Sugar, paired California Indica with a cross of Skunk #1 and Sensi Skunk. At United Cannabis Seeds, NYC Diesel and Sensi Skunk gave rise to the variety Skunk Diesel.
At the Copa de la Marihuana, the variety placed 1st in 2006, 2nd in 2007 and 3rd in 2010, according to the breeder, the last time with a special mention for flavor. Sensi Seeds records later podium places at the Expo Seville Cup 2016 (hydroponics, 2nd place) and at North Grow Copenhagen 2023 (Dry Sift, 3rd place). Another variety description attributes the 2006 win to the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.
Aroma and Flavor:
Sensi Seeds distinguishes the variety from the familiar skunk smell and describes a sweetish citrus scent, accompanied in flavor by an earthy, dry undertone. For the feminized version, the breeder speaks of fresh lemon with spicy accents. Other variety descriptions list skunk, citrus and lemon, along with earthy and herbal notes. User reports compare it to lemon cake; occasionally the flavor came across as smoky or weak.
Variety descriptions give caryophyllene as the leading terpene, followed by humulene and myrcene. For the Automatic version, by contrast, Sensi Seeds names myrcene, pinene and limonene.
Effects:
The breeder describes a calm yet euphoric high that turns into deep relaxation. User reports also put relaxation first, along with good mood, euphoria and creativity, and occasionally focus, tingling or increased desire. Accounts differ on intensity: some describe the effect as strongly body-focused and sleep-inducing, others as mild and not tiring during the day.
Variety descriptions list dry mouth, dry eyes and headache as side effects; one user report also mentions dry eyes. Another report mentions occasional paranoia at higher doses, and a further one rapidly increasing tolerance.
THC and CBD Content:
Values in variety descriptions vary widely: one gives 13 % THC with 0 % CBD, another 26 to 28 % THC. For the Automatic version, Sensi Seeds published a single measurement of 14 % THC on the harvested plant in its own grow report in 2022; the report does not name a laboratory.
Cultivation:
Sensi Seeds assigns Sensi Skunk to temperate to continental climates. The variety can be grown under artificial light, in a greenhouse and, in a warm summer, outdoors; it is considered undemanding and stretches to an average degree during flowering. The breeder rates the yield as high and sees the best results in Sea of Green. For the feminized version, Sensi Seeds gives a flowering time of 45 to 50 days. Another variety description gives 49 to 56 days and an outdoor harvest in early October, a further one a height of 120 to 150 cm.
According to the breeder, Sensi Skunk Automatic goes into flowering after about 5 weeks of growth, stays compact, yields moderately and is also suited to cool climates. In the Sensi Seeds indoor grow report from 2022, a plant in a 5-liter pot under a 1000-watt sodium vapor lamp flowered for 70 days and was harvested after 91 days at 66 cm height and 91 g dry weight. It grew in a fir-tree shape and gained height from 31 to 54 cm in week 6 alone; the strong smell made an activated carbon filter necessary. In another breeder report, 3 plants on an unprotected balcony in Amsterdam survived wind, rain and hail without additional fertilizer and each yielded about 10 g at around 65 cm height after 7 weeks of flowering.
Community Experiences:
Two documented grows of the regular version turned out very differently. Indoors, a grower harvested a total of 900 g from 20 plants in 6-liter pots under 1000 watts. Over roughly 60 days of flowering the plants grew from 25 to about 100 cm, put out strong side branches and formed very firm, compact buds with little leaf; they needed little fertilizer, tolerated temperature swings and proved mold-resistant. Outdoors, another grow progressed slowly, with short, thin side branches, rather loose buds and a below-average yield. There the plants were sensitive to cold and mold, and one turned purple because of the cold.

Relaxation comes first in the reports, along with good mood, euphoria and creativity; citrus aroma with skunk and earthy notes.
Intensity of the effect is inconsistent: partly strongly body-focused and sleep-inducing, partly mild and not tiring during the day. Flavor occasionally perceived as smoky or weak. Grow reports contradict each other on mold resistance, bud structure and yield (indoor: compact, mold-resistant, high yield; outdoor: loose, sensitive to mold and cold, below-average yield).
