also known as Cherry Truffle, White Cherry Trufflez
White Cherry Truffle is an indica-dominant cross of Cherry Noir and Highland Afghani from Aficionado Seed Collection, used as a parent by several breeders.
White Cherry Truffle appears as a parent in the pedigrees of several breeding lines, at its own breeder as well as at others. For it, Aficionado Seed Collection from Northern California crossed its in-house Cherry Noir with a Highland Afghani, and in the description of the later Trufflez line it calls the strain one of its flagships.
Cherry Noir combines Cherry Lime #4 with a Chemdog selection. The breeder and other strain descriptions refer to the Chemdog Special Reserve from 2012; a pedigree overview, by contrast, lists a Chemdawg dated 2013. The Highland Afghani on the other side is regarded as an Afghan landrace. One description puts the ratio at 60 % indica and 40 % sativa, while another classifies the strain as largely indica-dominant.
Aficionado repeatedly drew on its own strain. Trufflez arose from a cross of Zkittlez and Cherry Noir with White Cherry Truffle. For Triple Cherry, the breeder combined cuttings of Cherry Pie from the San Francisco Bay Area with a male from an internal backcross project in which Cherry Noir and White Cherry Truffle came together. Terp Fi3nd used the strain, among other things, for Blackout Truffle, a cross with Bio Chem, and for White Cherry Wedding Cake, whose parents each trace back to Wedding Cake, Deep Chunk and White Cherry Truffle.
The breeder describes black cherry and white chocolate, complemented by candied lemon peel and jet fuel. An oily impression is said to linger on the finish, with hints of paint thinner, rose petals and cherry liqueur. Other strain descriptions stick to cherry, chocolate, diesel and rose; one also mentions earth, berries and a spicy note.
The user reports are more sober. One describes a sweet taste reminiscent of pine, another notes only a faint cherry note on a concentrate. A critical report describes the smell as a mix of cheese, earth and body odor with a touch of berry and considers the terpene profile interchangeable.
Several user reports describe an energetic, euphoric state, sometimes combined with talkativeness, creativity or focus. Giggling, a tingling in the body and increased desire are also mentioned. For a concentrate, one report describes an initial head rush that turns into relaxation without taking away drive. After a live resin cartridge, another report mentions visual distortions, while a third found the effect mild with a clear head.
Differing from this, one strain description speaks of a heavy, slightly sedating body feel after a euphoric start; another describes a creative opening followed by physical relaxation. Dry mouth appears as a side effect in individual reports.
One strain description gives 21 % THC and 1 % CBG. The same description lists myrcene first among the terpenes, followed by pinene and ocimene.
According to the strain details, Aficionado has released White Cherry Truffle exclusively as regular seeds; it was never available feminized. The breeder describes large-framed plants with large colas, for which topping is said to be necessary. The details for the Aficionado version give 60 to 65 days of flowering indoors and an outdoor harvest in early October; indoor and outdoor are listed as growing locations. One user report highlights the frosty-looking flowers.
