Widely circulated strain descriptions, by contrast, trace the name back to Blue Dream and Banana OG.
Several strain descriptions consistently name Blue Dream and Banana OG as parents and classify the result as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa. Captain Seeds lists Blueberry and a Banana line for its own version and classifies it as indica-dominant. The Italian breeding by Terpethic shares neither: there, Blue Banana was created from a female Blue Cheese by Big Buddha Seeds and a female Ice Cream Banana by Sin City Seeds, combining the cheese-and-berry side with a banana line.
The aroma profile remains consistent across sources: ripe banana, fresh blueberry, plus a spicy note reminiscent of tree fruit. In flavor, the berry comes forward, underlaid by banana and earthy spice. Some reports reverse the order and describe sweet, creamy banana as dominant. Caryophyllene is named as the dominant terpene, followed by terpinolene and myrcene; one producer ranks myrcene ahead of terpinolene.

Crop King Seeds lists its own version, described as Blue Dream x Banana OG, with 8 to 10 weeks of flowering, 16 ounces per square meter indoors, 18 to 21 ounces per plant outdoors, a growth height of up to 4 feet, harvest in early October, and a temperate climate. Captain Seeds names 8 to 10 weeks for the indica-dominant version as well, along with 400 to 500 g/m² indoors, 400 to 800 g per plant outdoors, a growth height of 80 to 140 cm, a warm, temperate, or Mediterranean climate, and a medium difficulty level. All three versions are listed exclusively as feminized seeds.
