Cake Crasher

Hybrid
Indica 70 %Sativa 30 %

Cake Crasher is a cross of Wedding Cake and Wedding Crasher from Seed Junky Genetics, with an effect consumers describe as focusing in some cases and sedating in others.

Research as of 11/01/2026

Reports on how Cake Crasher acts diverge widely: some consumers describe focus, drive and a wish to talk, others a heaviness that extends to a reluctance to move. The classification of the cross of Wedding Cake and Wedding Crasher, consistently attributed to Seed Junky Genetics, is just as inconsistent. Strain descriptions list it as sativa-dominant in some cases and indica-dominant in others, and in individual reports consumers found the effect clearly indica-leaning despite the sativa classification.

Effects:

Reports repeatedly describe a course in 2 phases. A euphoric, uplifted mood comes first, followed by spreading physical relaxation. Tingling in the body, giggliness, talkativeness and increased creativity are also mentioned.

Where the effect ultimately leads is the real point of contention. Some became sleepy or stayed on the sofa, others worked in a focused way and got household tasks done. One report describes energy and nervousness that made it hard to wind down. A strain description also notes that the initially creative effect can turn into sedation over time.

Consumers name dry mouth, dry eyes and headaches as side effects. Nervousness appears in 2 reports, in one of them only at the start; another mentions heaviness and lack of drive.

Genetics and Origin:

Seed Junky Genetics crossed Wedding Cake with Wedding Crasher, which itself came from Wedding Cake and Purple Punch. Wedding Cake therefore appears on both sides of the pedigree. This line is listed as Triangle Mints #23, a cross of Triangle Kush and Animal Mints. A strain description puts the indica share of Cake Crasher at 70 %.

Accounts of the origin differ. A seed vendor's description places the first finds in Southern California and southern Nevada, while a New York dealer names the Pacific Northwest of the late 2010s.

Several breeders have crossed Cake Crasher further. Pure Sunfarms used the strain for Sugar Cookies, paired with Jet Fuel Gelato, and for Berry Cream Puff with an unnamed second parent. Mango Cake Crasher, Grasa De Mono and Purple Gelato come from Shuga Seeds, Diamonds and Pearls and Mercury Blues from Lovin' in Her Eyes, and Truffle Crasher from Beleaf Cannabis.

Aroma and Flavor:

Sweetness runs through the evaluated descriptions, mostly as vanilla cake and berries. Depending on the source, pine, earth, citrus and a sour note are added; others emphasize a diesel-like undertone. A manufacturer's product description stresses grapes, raspberries and plum. A review in the Oklahoma Gazette compared the profile in 2023 to the milk left over after a bowl of berry-flavored breakfast cereal. Strain descriptions list caryophyllene, limonene and humulene as the dominant terpenes.

User reports mention vanilla candy, sweet dough with a hint of skunk, and tea and berries. One consumer perceived a floral note in a joint and a more celery-like one in a bong, another disliked a peppery taste.

THC Content:

One strain description gives 19 to 22 % THC and 2 % CBG, while others put the THC content higher.

Cultivation:

For indoor flowering, a strain description gives 56 to 63 days and dates the outdoor harvest to late September to early October. According to it, the strain is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation; it describes medium-sized plants that deliver high yields under good conditions.

The descriptions disagree on the flowers. One describes airy, tapering buds with light green and dark purple foliage, another dense, heart-shaped flowers in dark olive green with a purple tinge, thin amber hairs and a thick trichome coating. User reports mention dark purple to brownish but also bright green flowers with purple areas, as well as large trichomes that cover the flowers completely. The review from Oklahoma describes dark green flowers with purple and orange tones.

Versions from Different Breeders:

According to a strain description, the original version from Seed Junky Genetics appeared only as regular seed, never feminized; a flowering time of 60 to 65 days is given for it. Premium Cultivars lists a seed version with the same parent strains and gives 19 % THC and 0 % CBD for it.
