Lucky Charms

Experience reports on Lucky Charms repeatedly describe a two-part pattern: first an alert, uplifted headspace with talkativeness and focus, then a calm physical heaviness. Accounts differ on how pronounced the second part turns out. Behind the name is a cross of The White and Appalachia, released by Bodhi Seeds as regular seeds and initially only in a small pre-release batch.

Euphoria, an uplifted mood, creativity and drive come up often, and just as frequently a relaxed body component that, at larger amounts, tips into tiredness or sluggishness. Some reports place the strain during the day, others in the late evening. Among side effects, dry mouth and dry eyes are named, along with dizziness, nervousness and headache, and in sensitive individuals, tightness and paranoia. Descriptions of the taste also diverge: alongside a sweet grain-and-berry picture, some reports mention a chemical, solvent-like note and a burnt-marshmallow impression.

Genetics and Origin:

One parent line is The White, a cut known for exceptionally dense trichome coverage; Greenpoint Seeds trace it to breeder Krome and state that their mother plant was grown from a selection made in Boulder, Colorado. The other, Appalachia, comes from Green Crack and Tres Dawg, a Chem-D backcross from Top Dawg Seeds. Bodhi Seeds described the result as a hashy, fruity funk with a marshmallow tone and exceptionally heavy resin production. A feminized version of the line has never been released, but it has produced numerous crosses from other breeders: Lucky 7's by Greenpoint Seeds with Stardawg, Cereal Bar by Taylormade Selections with Fruity Pebbles OG, Jabberwocky by 303 Seeds with Bio-Diesel, Lucky Lime by Useful Seeds with Black Lime Reserve, and Ocean Charms by Treeology Genetics.

Aroma and Flavor:

Reports describe a sweet bouquet of ripe berries, cherry and citrus over an earthy, resinous base, along with an impression of sugared breakfast cereal. The finish brings creamy notes and a sour citrus hit. Some descriptions additionally mention stone fruit, apricot, tropical hints and a spicy pine edge.

Lab Results:

For a flower sample, Kaycha Labs measured 29.8 % total THC at 32.5 % THCA in 2026; this is a single measurement. The terpene profile of the same sample listed caryophyllene at 0.60 %, followed by limonene at 0.23 %, linalool at 0.22 %, humulene at 0.19 %, farnesene at 0.11 % and bisabolol at 0.08 %; myrcene was present only in trace amounts at 0.02 %. A flower sample from 2023, listed under the name variant Lucky Charms X, reached 23.9 % total THC at the same lab. Such values vary with batch, cultivation and phenotype.

Other strain descriptions without lab evidence put the range at 23 to 25 %, below the single sample measured in 2026.

Cultivation:

Flowering takes about 9 weeks, and outdoors the harvest falls in October. The strain is grown both indoors and outdoors, is considered undemanding enough for beginners, and stays mid-range in height. The climate is described as Mediterranean-influenced and semi-humid. Buds form densely and carry a heavy trichome coverage; orange pistils are reported, along with occasional purple undertones.

Versions from Different Breeders:

Bodhi Seeds offers the original version exclusively as regular seeds and rates both flowering time and height as medium. Heritage Seed Co sells a self-maintained F2 of the same cross and states 8 to 9 weeks of flowering for it. Growers Choice Seeds sells its own feminized version, giving 55 to 65 days of flowering, 22 % THC, up to 350 g per square meter indoors and up to 400 g per plant outdoors.
