Skittlez Mintz

also known as Skittles Mints, Zkittlez Mintz

BalancedTHC-dominant
Indica 50 %Sativa 50 %

Skittlez Mintz is considered a cross of Zkittlez and Kush Mints; no breeder is documented, and sources also name Animal Mints as the mint parent.

Research as of 10/04/2026

No breeder is documented for Skittlez Mintz, and the strain descriptions disagree on the second parent. All of them name Zkittlez as the fruity side of the cross; depending on the source, the mint notes are attributed to Kush Mints, Animal Mints or a Thin Mint line of Girl Scout Cookies. Several breeders offer seeds from Zkittlez and Kush Mints, though under other names.

Genetics and Origin:

Two strain descriptions name Zkittlez and Kush Mints as parents and classify the strain as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa. A third replaces Kush Mints with the Thin Mint variant of Girl Scout Cookies. A guide to the spelling Zkittlez Mintz traces common clones back to a cross of Zkittlez with Animal Mints, accepts Kush Mints as an alternative and dates the appearance of such crosses to 2021 and 2022. Another description of this spelling places the strain clearly on the indica side at about 70 % indica.

The parent lines are better documented. Zkittlez originated from Grape Ape and Grapefruit with an undisclosed third partner and is attributed to 3rd Gen Family and Terp Hogz. Kush Mints is a selection by Seed Junky Genetics from Animal Mints and Bubba Kush, passed on only as a clone.

Versions from Different Breeders:

None of the following seed lines is offered under the spelling Skittlez Mintz; all are based on Zkittlez and Kush Mints. Seed Junky Genetics lists regular seeds as Zkittlez x Kush Mints #11. According to retailer information, the indica share is 60 %, indoor flowering takes 9 weeks, the yield under artificial light is given as 600 g/m², and the outdoor harvest as mid to late October. A cross of The Original Z and Kush Mints under the name Zee Mints is likewise attributed to Seed Junky.

Crop King Seeds distributes feminized seeds as Zkittlez Mints, states 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, 23 % THC and 0.22 to 0.38 % CBD, and describes the plants as resistant to pests. Ripper Seeds calls its own feminized cross KmintZ, gives 60 to 70 days of flowering and a harvest in October, and emphasizes resistance to mold and pests.

Aroma and Flavor:

The descriptions combine sweet fruit notes with mint. They list citrus and lemon, a sour tone, berries and blueberry, plus a spicy menthol overtone with peppery herbal notes. User reports mention a sweet menthol scent when smoked and a spicy, minty taste; one report observed that the aroma changes with the form of consumption.

The descriptions contradict each other on the terpene profile. One lists caryophyllene as the dominant terpene ahead of limonene and linalool, another puts myrcene first, followed by caryophyllene and linalool.

Effects:

Reports describe a fast, strong onset, and one mentions an effect lasting several hours. Giddiness, talkativeness, good mood and euphoria are named repeatedly, as are hunger and a tingling in the body. Whether the strain is more stimulating or calming is judged differently: some describe energy, creativity and focus, others relaxation and a peaceful basic mood, and one strain description also mentions sleepiness. One report considers the strain unsuitable for novices because of its strength.

Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as side effects, and one strain description also lists paranoia.

THC Content:

THC figures in strain descriptions range from 15 to 32 %. In between lie ranges of 17 to 23 % and, under the spelling Zkittlez Mintz, 22 to 28 %.

Cultivation:

Flowering time is given as 55 to 63 days, in other descriptions as 60 to 70 days; indoor and outdoor are named as locations. Guides using the spelling Zkittlez Mintz describe an indica-leaning structure with broad fan leaves, short internodes and dense buds with a high calyx-to-leaf ratio. One of them states that the plants stretch by a factor of 1.5 to 2 after the switch to flowering. Early topping and LST are recommended; one guide additionally relies on SCROG.

When dried, the buds appear olive green with orange hairs and bluish-white trichomes in descriptions, and dense and sticky in user reports.
