A strain description classifies MAC #10 as a phenotype of Miracle Alien Cookies; alongside this, the spellings MAC 10, MAC TEN and Miracle Alien Cookies #10 are also in circulation. The strain is considered a balanced hybrid, with an indica and sativa share of 50 % each. Who bred it first remains unclear; a producer description places its origin in Los Angeles. Several breeders and seed banks also sell their own lines under the name, one of them with a different pedigree.
Genetics and Origin:
Strain descriptions name Miracle Alien Cookies, Starfighter and Colombia Gold as parent lines. One of them is more specific: according to this account, an F2 generation of MAC was paired with a cross of an unspecified Colombian landrace and Starfighter.
Starfighter and Colombian genetics are already present in MAC itself, whose pedigree is traced back to Alien Cookies, Starfighter and Colombian. How this strain came about is described in a profile of breeder Capulator in the magazine California Leaf: seeds from his cross of Starfighter and Colombian accidentally went through the washing machine, and with the surviving plant, Miracle 15, he pollinated Alien Cookies F2.
Aroma and Flavor:
Several descriptions combine orange with gas. One compares the scent to creamy oranges, a producer description to orange creamsicle and musk; in flavor, Gala apples, biscuits and gas appear there. Other sources put spicy-sweet berries and a pungent diesel note in the foreground, with a distinctly gassy finish. User reports add a cookie scent with a fruity undertone, a musty note, and spicy herbal notes with pine in the aftertaste.
A strain overview, which according to its own statement draws its terpene data from products tested by certified labs, lists limonene as the dominant terpene, followed by terpinolene and caryophyllene.
THC Content:
The figures vary widely: one strain description names 18 % THC and 1 % CBG, another 32 % THC.
Effects:
Users describe a balanced effect with good mood, silliness and focus, accompanied by physical relaxation. Also mentioned are euphoria, drive, creativity and talkativeness. Several reports emphasize that relaxation and focus occurred at the same time. Assessments of strength diverge: one strain description calls the effect mild, while ratings elsewhere mainly highlight its intensity.
Reported side effects include dry mouth, dry eyes and dizziness. A single report describes an altered, dreamlike, sharp visual impression.
Cultivation:
Consistently described are dense trichome coverage and bright orange pistils. Descriptions diverge on flower color: one description speaks of purple flowers, a producer description of a purple tinge among numerous pointed sugar leaves, and a third of large, forest to dark green flowers with blue-green shimmering trichomes.
Versions from Different Breeders:
A Mac 10 from In House Genetics is listed in a 2020 strain review as MAC bX1, i.e. a backcross to Miracle Alien Cookies. The reviewer described a creamy, berry scent with a cheesy, skunky note and a basement smell, and in flavor berries, earthy pine and hash. The effect reportedly began with an energetic head effect and moved into physical relaxation with tingling. The flowers were grass green, streaked with dark purple veins and densely covered with trichomes.
Terpdawg Seeds, by contrast, crossed Mac 6 with Purple Punch for its Mac 10 and offers the strain as feminized seeds. The breeder states a flowering time of 70 days indoors, a yield of 450 g/m² indoors, an outdoor harvest in late September, and 23 to 30 % THC. The aroma is described as grape and orange, the effect as relaxing and creative.
Two seed banks that do not name a breeder offer feminized seeds with the pedigree MAC F2 × (Colombian landrace × Starfighter). Both state a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks, 32 % THC and 2 % CBD, a height of 5 to 8 feet both indoors and outdoors, and a harvest from late September to early October; the line reportedly prefers a warm climate.
