Alien Cookies
also known as Alien Cookies OG, OG Alien Cookies
Alien Cookies is a cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Aliendawg by Jaws Gear, known mainly as a parent of MAC and Cap Junky.
Alien Cookies became known mainly through its offspring: the cross by Jaws Gear, also listed as Jaws Genetics, is a parent of Miracle Alien Cookies, MAC for short, and of Cap Junky. For it, Jaws Gear paired a cut of Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) that circulates as a clone with Aliendawg in the F4 generation. Other breeders sell crosses with their own lineage under the same name.
Genetics and Origin:
The GSC parent is traced back to OG Kush and a Durban F1, Aliendawg to Chemdawg and Alien Technology. Strain descriptions disagree on classification. One lists Alien Cookies as an indica-dominant hybrid, another puts the ratio at 60 % indica and 40 % sativa, and others see a balanced hybrid. One description also raises Fire Alien Kush as a possible component without giving reasons. Alien Cookies OG and OG Alien Cookies are also in use as names.
For MAC, the breeder Capulator crossed Alien Cookies with Miracle 15, a male from Starfighter F2 and a Colombian landrace. According to one strain description, Capulator had previously selected an F2 phenotype from Alien Cookies seeds. Cap Junky, a joint line by Seed Junky Genetics and Capulator, combines Alien Cookies with Kush Mints #11. MAC 1 and White MAC are also named as offspring.
Aroma and Flavor:
Vanilla and a pungent earthy base note recur in the descriptions. One mentions fruity and sour notes in the intact bud and, once it is broken up, rose, lavender, citrus and pine; another stresses cookie dough and a chemical, fuel-like undertone. The flavor brings up tea, pepper and herbs, along with citrus and earth. Consumers rate the intensity differently: some found the aroma strong, others plain.
Several descriptions list limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene as dominant terpenes, without giving an analysis. Another names humulene, alpha-pinene and alpha-bisabolol instead.
Effects:
Strain descriptions portray a quick, mood-lifting effect in the head, followed by physical relaxation that can go as far as drowsiness. User reports confirm this pattern in principle. Consumers mention euphoria, good mood and silliness, in some cases also creativity, focus, talkativeness, arousal and hunger. Reports differ on intensity: some describe heavy sedation up to couch lock, others a mild state with a clear head. Several say that even small amounts had a marked effect, or that the effect set in late and then built up.
Side effects mentioned are dry eyes and dry mouth, as well as paranoia and anxiety, in one report up to a severe panic reaction in public. Isolated reports mention harsh smoke in the throat and pressure on the ears. One strain description additionally lists headaches and dizziness.
THC and CBD Content:
The THC figures come from strain descriptions and vary widely, ranging from 16 to 25 %. CBD content is given as less than 1 % in 2 descriptions.
Cultivation:
Jaws Gear has published neither flowering time nor yield or plant height; the original line is offered only as regular seeds. Other strain descriptions give 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, another 8 to 10 weeks. Cultivation is rated as demanding there, in one rating as moderate to difficult, and is possible indoors and outdoors.
On growth habit, the plants are said to stay short and stocky, grow bushy with strong branches and dark green leaves, and stretch at the start of flowering. The flowers are described as dense and rock hard, with short internodes, large stacks of calyxes and heavy resin coverage; at maturity they can turn deep blackish purple. One description mentions slow vegetative growth that reduces yield. Another paints a different picture, with lanky plants that need support, small popcorn-like buds and problems in the root zone.
Versions from Different Breeders:
Motherland Genetics crossed Alien Abduction with a Durban Cookies Kush male for its Alien Cookies. This mostly indica-leaning version is given about 65 days of flowering, plus suitability for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse growing and several phenotypes with a fruity terpene profile. Twisty Seeds combines Alien OG with its own Cripple Creek Cookies male. Oregon Microgrowers Guild lists a mostly indica-leaning Alien Cookies with a flowering time of 63 days, whose parent strains are not named. These versions, too, are offered only as regular seeds.
