That is how strain descriptions classify it, and a producer from the US state of Washington lists it the same way in its product details. None of the sources reveals who selected this phenotype.
Strain descriptions consistently classify the cheese phenotype as a sativa-leaning hybrid with 70 % sativa and 30 % indica. Statements on its lineage diverge. Alongside the derivation from UK Cheese, there is the claim that the parent strains and the breeder are unknown. A product description from a US seller, in turn, attributes a Silver Fox to Kingcade Gardens and names a cross of Silver Dog with UK Cheese. The same entry, however, lists UK Cheese as both parents.
The second Silver Fox comes from Nomad Seed Bank and is an autoflower. According to the breeder, it was bred from an autoflowering Highland Thai male and a vigorous Super Silver Haze female. The breeder lists it as an F1 polyhybrid with 85 % sativa, 10 % indica and 5 % ruderalis. The seeds are regular.
According to Nomad Seed Bank, the plant grows vegetatively for about 1 month before it begins to flower on its own, and it reaches roughly 3 times the size of a typical autoflower. It is said to be ready for harvest 14 to 16 weeks after germination. It is intended for outdoor and greenhouse cultivation.
