Gold Line; Wedding Cake × Gelato 45; breeder recommends topping for lateral growth, easy to clone.
also known as Tiramisu Cookies
Tiramisu is a feminized cross of Wedding Cake and Gelato 45 from The Cali Connection, with a flavor described as vanilla, chocolate and coffee.
The Cali Connection relies on topping for Tiramisu: the breeder advises cutting the plant back to build it out laterally and points out that it clones easily. The feminized cross of Wedding Cake and Gelato 45 belongs to the Gold Line of the Los Angeles seedbank and, according to the breeder, flowers for 63 to 67 days.
The Cali Connection puts the yield under artificial light at 200 to 280 g/m². Several strain descriptions rate cultivation as easy, one as moderately difficult; indoor and outdoor are listed as suitable locations. Besides topping, they name LST and SCROG as training methods.
Buyers who grew Tiramisu from seed report plants that become very bushy after topping and showed no sensitivity to mold. The offspring were not uniform, however: several phenotypes are mentioned, including plants colored pink to purple and a variant with a cheesy smell. Other sources also describe purple tones, on the foliage toward the end of flowering and as lilac flecks in the buds. The buds are considered dense and richly covered in trichomes.
The breeder and the common strain descriptions alike name Wedding Cake and Gelato 45 as parents; one description lists an unknown hybrid instead of Gelato 45. The strain also circulates in part under the name Tiramisu Cookies. How strongly indica or sativa predominates is unresolved: The Cali Connection gives no ratio, one description classes Tiramisu as sativa-leaning while also labeling it indica, another puts it at 70 % indica.
As a parent, Tiramisu appears in at least 2 further strains. For Strawberry Tiramisu, The Cali Connection crossed a Strawberry OG with a reversed Tiramisu; Paul N Chuck Seeds combined the strain with Chocolate Thai for Mocha Bean.
Original Sensible Seeds lists its own feminized Tiramisu and likewise names Wedding Cake and Gelato 45 as parents; in one strain overview, however, this version appears as a cross of two Tiramisu plants. The breeder states 70 % indica, 65 to 70 days of flowering, 600 g/m² under artificial light and 850 g per plant outdoors, plus a height of 100 to 150 cm indoors and 120 to 200 cm outdoors. It puts the THC content of its version at more than 28 %.
The Tiramisu from Black Farm Genetix shares only the name with the original; it traces back to L.A. Kush and Acai Cake. For this strain, likewise listed only as feminized, the breeder gives 8 to 10 weeks of flowering, an outdoor harvest in early October and 18 to 24 % THC.
Vanilla and chocolate lead The Cali Connection's flavor description, joined by creamy hash and a buttery note. Coffee appears in several strain descriptions and user reports, alongside berries, tropical fruit and a sweet note. One detailed review found nut and bitter chocolate in the flavor, tipping toward sour at the end and leaving diesel notes; in the aroma, earth, spices and hash dominated over a sweetish base. Original Sensible Seeds describes its own version with cherry, plum and apricot ahead of caramel and coffee.
Strain descriptions name β-caryophyllene as the predominant terpene; depending on the source, limonene and humulene or myrcene and limonene follow. Original Sensible Seeds also puts caryophyllene first, ahead of humulene and limonene.
User reports describe Tiramisu as more stimulating than sedating. Mentioned are elevated mood, euphoria, talkativeness, creativity and focus, but also silliness, relaxation or sleepiness. One detailed review describes a clear, cerebral onset followed over several hours by a mild physical loosening. One report, by contrast, finds the effect weak and gone after a short time. Side effects mentioned are dry mouth, dry eyes, headache, dizziness and slight nervousness.
One strain description lists Tiramisu at 15 % THC and 1 % CBG. A 2020 review gives around 24 % THC for the batch discussed, with no verifiable lab evidence available.
