Parent lines secret according to the breeder, share of Sweet Skunk; feminized seeds only.
Wappa is an indica-leaning hybrid from Paradise Seeds in Amsterdam with Sweet Skunk heritage, undisclosed parent lines and a sweet, fruity aroma.
According to its breeder Paradise Seeds from Amsterdam, Wappa smells of strawberry and cherry over a skunk undertone. Founder Luc Krol has never fully disclosed the parent lines of the indica-leaning hybrid; the only thing known is a share of Sweet Skunk.
Other strain descriptions add citrus with lime and lemon as well as a slight diesel note, and in the flavor a sweet, candy-like fruit followed by pine and diesel on the exhale. Grow reports name lime, lilac and warm milk for the dried flowers, and fennel, lilac and nectar for the flavor. Several consumer reports highlight a tea note that in part recalls green tea or matcha, accompanied by honey.
Paradise Seeds was founded in the mid-1990s. For Wappa the breeder states 60 % indica and 40 % sativa. A French press report speaks of a comparatively mild skunk as the starting material and traces the name back to an exclamation with which an early employee, now head of the warehouse, urges on colleagues. The sources contradict each other on the year of release: a retrospective from Paradise Seeds places the strain in the late 1990s, the same press report gives 2006, and another article the late 2000s.
An Australian supplier of medical flowers lists Sensi Star x Delahaze as the lineage of its own Wappa instead. Paradise Seeds uses the strain as a parent itself, for example for Caramba (Wappa x Gelato 33), Tangerine Sorbet (Wappa x Thin Mint GSC) and the autoflowering Auto Wappa. At the Copa de Canarias 2011, Wappa took 3rd place; dealer statements also name 1st place at the Cannabis Champs Cup 2014 in Toronto.
Paradise Seeds describes a strong yet uplifting effect that relaxes body and mind. User reports confirm the relaxation, and some also mention creativity or an initially cheerful, slightly euphoric phase. They disagree on tiredness: some consumers feel hardly tired, others report heavy eyelids. Named side effects are dry mouth, dizziness and red eyes, and one report mentions inner restlessness with repeated use.
Paradise Seeds states 24 % THC for Wappa and 18 % for Auto Wappa. Another strain description gives 18 to 19 % for Wappa.
A single measurement published in 2023 is publicly available, taken on hemp flowers sold as THCA flowers, with the laboratory not named: 21.08 % THCA, 0.24 % delta-9-THC and 0.08 % CBG. Total terpene content was 2.67 %, led by caryophyllene ahead of myrcene, humulene, limonene and linalool. Paradise Seeds itself names myrcene, caryophyllene and linalool as the predominant terpenes.
Paradise Seeds gives the flowering time as 55 to 60 days and the yield as 550 g/m² indoors and 700 g per plant outdoors; indoors the plants stay under 100 cm according to the breeder. As seed type the breeder lists only feminized seeds for Wappa. The breeder describes the strain as suited to temperate climates and northern latitudes in Europe and North America, and strain descriptions date the outdoor harvest to early October. The breeder and further descriptions emphasize a high calyx-to-leaf ratio; one article describes wide, low growth with dense flowers on horizontal side branches.
For Auto Wappa, Paradise Seeds gives 60 to 65 days from germination to harvest indoors and 70 days outdoors, plus 400 g/m² indoors and 75 g per plant outdoors. The same page also states a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks indoors, which cannot be reconciled with the total duration.
Grow reports consistently describe Wappa as undemanding and suitable for beginners. The numerous side branches carry strong flowers of their own, which turn out hard and compact once dried. Several growers supported the plants during flowering with nets or stakes, 2 report a good response to topping, and one considers the strain suitable for SCROG. The documented indoor grows reached 60 days of flowering; one grower harvested 75 to 82 g of dried flowers per 11-liter pot.
Growth habit is where the reports diverge. One grower describes a bushy plant with hardly any stretch, others saw a fir-tree-shaped, rather sativa-like habit; in 2 grows the plants grew from 32 to 105 cm and from 15 to 100 cm during flowering, respectively. Strain descriptions list 3 known phenotypes between a compact indica type and a stretched sativa type. The accounts also conflict on mold and nutrient demand: some growers observed no susceptibility, others advise good air circulation because of the dense flowers.

A strain description names little stretch; grow reports document 32 to 105 cm and 15 to 100 cm respectively, see community.reported_values.
According to the breeder, suitable for temperate climates and northern latitudes in Europe and North America.
Wide, low growth with dense flowers on horizontal side branches according to an article; high calyx-to-leaf ratio according to the breeder and strain descriptions. Grow reports disagree: some bushy with hardly any stretch, some fir-tree-shaped and sativa-like. A strain description names 3 phenotypes between a compact indica type and a stretched sativa type. Dried flowers hard and compact.
2 grow reports with a good response to topping, 1 report considers SCROG suitable; support with nets or stakes in 3 reports and according to a press report.
Several breeders sell their own versions under this name. Each figure comes from the respective breeder.

Wappa x Ruderalis. According to the breeder 60 to 65 days from germination to harvest indoors and 70 days outdoors; the same page also gives 8 to 9 weeks of flowering indoors, an internal contradiction.

Grow reports: undemanding and suitable for beginners, many side branches with strong flowers, hard, compact flowers when dried, support needed during flowering, indoor flowering around 60 days. Consumer reports: physical and mental relaxation, in some cases creativity; tea note in the aroma.
Growth habit (bushy with hardly any stretch versus fir-tree-shaped and sativa-like with strong stretch), susceptibility to mold (in some cases none, in others susceptible because of dense flowers), nutrient demand (high versus low), tiredness (hardly tiring versus heavy eyelids).
