also known as Crunch Berry, Crunchberry, Crunchberries, Crunch Berryz, Crunch Berry Kush, Captain Crunch
Crunch Berries is an indica-dominant cross of Blueberry and Triple OG from Exotic Genetix, with a sweet berry aroma and seed phenotypes that vary noticeably.
A pack of Crunch Berries seeds produces 2 to 3 clearly distinct plant types, according to one grow report. Phenotypes leaning toward Blueberry stay compact, show short internodes and turn purple, while the Triple OG side shows up in longer internodes and the classic OG leaf shape. The indica-dominant cross of these two strains was bred by Exotic Genetix, a breeder team from the US state of Washington.
Strain descriptions give flowering times of 56 to 63 days, with another citing 55 to 65 days. In the grow report mentioned above, the faster phenotypes were ready for harvest after 56 to 58 days, while others finished better closer to day 63. Outdoors, harvest is placed at early October.
The plants grow bushy with strong branching and reach medium to tall heights; the growth form is described as a multi-stemmed shrub. One strain description recommends topping, SCROG or SOG to keep height and side branches under control, and sees the full potential realized more indoors under even conditions. Another description rates the yield as high. In the grow report, 400 to 500 g/m² were reached across several runs.
The buds are dark green with a purple undertone and orange pistils, covered by a dense, whitish-looking layer of trichomes. According to the grow report, the resin works well for ice water extraction, and the aroma only fully develops after 2 to 3 weeks of curing.
Exotic Genetix crossed DJ Short's Blueberry with Triple OG. Sources disagree on the parents' roles: two strain descriptions state the pollen came from a Triple OG male, while a third names Triple OG as the mother and Blueberry as the father. The indica share is given as either 60% or 70%. Spellings and aliases such as Crunch Berry, Crunchberries, Crunch Berry Kush and Captain Crunch are also in circulation.
Beyond Top Shelf has used the strain for a number of its own crosses, including Blurple Urkle with Purple Urkle, Crunchatizer with Buddha Tahoe OG and Damn Dawg with Stardawg.
The flavor is said to recall breakfast cereal with a berry taste: sweet berries and candy with a hint of vanilla, and an aftertaste that lingers. The scent adds pine, herbs, earth and a light spiciness. Other descriptions emphasize the gassy OG side over sweet blueberry and also mention apricot. In one consumption report, the flower smells sugary sweet with a heavy, musty undertone.
One strain description lists pinene, caryophyllene and humulene as the dominant terpenes. A producer growing in living soil names myrcene, caryophyllene, pinene, farnesene and limonene for its flowers.
Experience reports don't add up to a consistent picture. Several consumers describe an uplifted mood with a clear head, focus and drive, while others report mainly relaxation and drowsiness. In one report, an energizing phase was followed by sleepiness. A few reports found the effect more sativa-like, despite the strain's indica-dominant classification. One report explicitly denies any paralyzing body heaviness, while a strain description mentions an effect that can make one sluggish. Reported side effects include dry mouth, dry eyes and headache.
The figures diverge widely. One strain description states 21% THC with no CBD, a second gives 15 to 16% THC, and a third 7.5 to 17.5%. A German-language strain profile lists 25 to 30% THC and 1% CBD.
Exotic Genetix only offered Crunch Berries as regular seeds. Feminized seeds sold under the name come from other vendors. Rocket Seeds names Blueberry and a male Triple OG as the parents for its version, without naming a breeder, and states a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks, an outdoor yield of 280 to 420 g per plant with harvest in October, and 15 to 16.33% THC with 0.72 to 0.98% CBD. Also listed under the alias Crunch Berries is Triple Blueberry from Encanto Green Cross, whose parent strains are not given.

According to a strain description, it thrives under even growing conditions and reaches its potential more indoors.
Growth form as a multi-stemmed shrub, medium to tall, with strong branching. Buds dark green with orange pistils and a dense, whitish-looking layer of trichomes. Blueberry phenotypes with short internodes, OG phenotypes with longer internodes and the classic OG leaf shape. According to the grow report, the resin is well suited for ice water extraction.
One strain description names topping, SCROG and SOG to control height and branching.
Several breeders sell their own versions under this name. Each figure comes from the respective breeder.
According to the source, offered only as regular seeds, never feminized. Plant height is given only qualitatively (medium to tall), yield rated as high.
Offers feminized seeds; no own strain data on flowering time, yield or cannabinoids for this version. The cultivation information on the page comes from the author's own growing experience and is listed under community.
Feminized seeds; Blueberry and a male Triple OG are named as parents, no breeder is given. The stated indoor yield of 30 g/m² appears implausible and was not included in the text. According to the vendor, outdoor harvest is in October, difficulty is moderate, and it prefers a warm climate.
