Alien Hallucination

To create Alien Hallucination, Alien Genetics, a small breeder from North America, crossed its own Tahoe Alien line with LSD from B.O.G. Seeds. The hybrid is listed with a balanced ratio of 50 % indica to 50 % sativa. Consumer reports go back as far as December 2015. According to a strain overview, seeds are listed only in regular form.

Genetics and Origin:

Tahoe Alien also originated at Alien Genetics. According to the breeder, it descends from a Tahoe OG Kush mother and an Alien Kush F1 father; it is considered predominantly indica-leaning, is said to stretch less than the original Tahoe cut and to develop clearly sturdier branches.

The second parent comes from B.O.G. Seeds. The breeder describes LSD as the most sativa-leaning variety in its program, crossed NYC Diesel with LifeSaver to make it, and attributes to it flowers smelling of strawberry as well as a stimulating high with a psychedelic touch. The record is not entirely consistent. One strain description phrases the ancestry only as an assumption and calls LSD a hybrid from Amsterdam, whereas the pedigree entries explicitly list the B.O.G. Seeds line.

Aroma and Flavor:

Strain descriptions give the scent as sweet, slightly sour citrus notes over an earthy base, complemented by spicy and herbal hints; lemon stays in front on the palate. One description differs and names a chemical, pungent smell with strawberry. It lists pinene, myrcene and caryophyllene as the dominant terpenes. One consumer report mentions a nutty taste reminiscent of hashish, while others found the aroma flat and not very pronounced.

THC Content:

Strain descriptions give 20 to 24 % THC, and another gives 20 % THC and 1 % CBG. One user report rates the strain as stronger than these figures would suggest.

Effects:

Reports describe a rapid onset, in one case after about 5 minutes, followed by euphoria, creative impulses and focused clarity. The strain is described several times as stimulating and making people talkative, without couch-lock. Other reports paint a different picture and find the effect sleepy and spaced out, with a floating feeling and altered perception of time. One strain description combines both into a euphoric first phase followed by deep physical relaxation.

Whether the name fits is judged differently across the reports. Alongside accounts of a distinctly psychedelic impression are others that describe the high as light and not overwhelming. In one report the effect lasted 10 hours. Strain descriptions and reports list dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness and nervousness as side effects, occasionally also paranoia; once, severe headache occurred.

Cultivation:

Grow descriptions give the flowering time as 8 to 10 weeks and 9 weeks respectively. Outdoors, harvest is said to fall in mid to late October, and a warm climate is preferred. The same source puts the indoor yield at 12 to 14 ounces per square meter, converted 340 to 397 g, and the outdoor yield at more than 14 ounces, so over 397 g per plant.

Another description portrays medium-sized plants that can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. The flowers there are light green with a purple undertone and carry numerous orange pistils as well as amber trichomes.
