Consumers who have been able to try F1 describe a high that sets in quickly and tends to energize rather than sedate; a few also report restlessness, mild paranoia or headaches. The strain is considered rare and is known mainly through its offspring. Jigga, a breeder from the San Francisco Bay Area and co-founder of Cookies, crossed it with Durban Poison to create F1 Durb; this line later formed the basis of Girl Scout Cookies.

Community Experiences:

The reports agree in their basic direction: the effect starts in the head and is described as activating and mood-lifting. Energy, creativity and euphoria are mentioned, in one case also silliness. One consumer highlights concentration and adds a pleasant relaxation in the body, another mainly describes a tingling.

The dissenting voices concern how people felt during the high. Nervousness is mentioned in more than one report, along with mild paranoia and headaches. One consumer describes body shaking that lasted a while, another felt somewhat slowed in thinking. Strain descriptions additionally mention sociability and good mood.

Genetics and Origin:

The ancestry of F1 is not documented. In a 2014 interview, Jigga declined to reveal the strain's actual name. F1 was merely a nickname and not a reference to filial generation; the plant could just as well have been called Freddie. Another explanation links the name to the fast, steeply rising high.

The classification also varies. One strain description speaks of an unknown combination of sativa-leaning lines with 70 % sativa and 30 % indica, another lists F1 as a sativa. A 2015 report on the contradictory origin stories of Girl Scout Cookies also mentions a strain called F1 from Florida. According to the 2014 interview, however, the Kush parent line of Girl Scout Cookies came from Jacksonville, Florida.

Its role as a parent is better documented. Jigga stabilized the cross of F1 and Durban Poison and then crossed F1 Durb with a Kush that later became known as OG Kush. The breeder Mr. Sherbinski, by his own account, had heard that the Durb portion contained no Durban Poison; Jigga, by contrast, explicitly named Durban Poison in 2014. F1 Durb and Granddaddy Purple also gave rise to Cherry Pie.

Aroma and Flavor:

Descriptions of the smell differ widely. The 2014 interview speaks of a sharp funk reminiscent of urine, and one user report compares the aroma to a barn and strong Swiss cheese. Strain descriptions, by contrast, point to lemon and lime, backed by earth, pine, herbs and fresh flowers; the taste is said to be dominated by sour citrus fruit, with a slightly peppery exhale. Another description sticks to earth and wood with a floral touch. It lists myrcene as the dominant terpene, followed by caryophyllene and limonene, but gives no measured values.

Visually, the buds are described as airy and cluster-shaped, in light mint green with thin orange hairs and fine, milky white trichomes.

THC and CBD Content:

Strain descriptions give a THC content of 19 and 20 %, without naming a lab or batch. One of them puts the CBD content at 0 %.
