Fruit Loops is a fruity-smelling hybrid with disputed parentage around White Widow; several genetically different breeder versions exist under the name.

Research as of 10/02/2026

Several family trees circulate for Fruit Loops, differing mainly in the second parent. White Widow appears in almost all of them, joined, depending on the source, by Blue Dream, Blueberry or a four-way cross of Blue Dream, White Widow, Grapefruit and Blueberry. The origin is also unresolved: one strain description states that no known breeder has come forward as the originator, while another names AliGee Seed Co. with the parentage White Widow × unknown.

Genetics and Origin:

Several strain overviews give Blue Dream × White Widow; the accompanying description also mentions recessive traits from Grapefruit and Blueberry. Under the spelling Fruit Loopz the strain also appears as Blueberry × White Widow, and another source adds Grape Pie as a third parent. One description gives the USA as the country of origin. 2 descriptions classify the strain as a slightly indica-leaning hybrid with 55 % indica, whereas seed vendors listing the parentage Blue Dream × White Widow classify it as sativa-leaning.

A large strain overview now lists the strain as FL Haze, alluding to the protected brand name of the breakfast cereal; it also gives the abbreviation FLH for Fruit Loop Haze. Under that name, however, a predominantly sativa-leaning line from C13 and Grapefruit/Blueberry is also documented, attributed to a breeder using the pseudonym Krip Keeper. Fruit Loopz is documented as a parent in Fruit Bert, which Dank Genetics obtained from a cross with Sunset Sherbert.

Versions from Different Breeders:

Crop King Seeds and Vancouver Seed Bank describe feminized seeds of the Blue Dream × White Widow cross with identical values: 7 to 10 weeks of flowering, 283 to 340 g/m² indoors, 283 g per plant outdoors with a harvest between late September and late October, 20 % THC and 1 % CBD.

Froot Loopz from TH Seeds has a different pedigree, descending from Zkittlez as well as Birthday Cake and Strawbanana Cream. According to a strain description, it was released as a limited edition of 50 packs of regular seeds. TH Seeds states 63 days of flowering, up to 450 g/m², a height of 130 to 150 cm and an outdoor harvest in early October. According to the breeder, the plants form flexible side branches around a pronounced main cola and are suited to topping and SCROG.

Sin City Seeds lists its own Froot Loops from Cherry Pie and Las Vegas Bubba Kush, which went into Choke Cherry together with Blue Power.

Aroma and Flavor:

Descriptions of the scent revolve around grapefruit, berries and tropical fruit over earthy, slightly spicy tones; one gives a creamy sweetness with citrus and sandalwood for the finish. User reports confirm the sweet, fruity flavor, although one found it soapy. One tester found a batch grown in Oregon more restrained than the name suggests, with a fresh citrus note, mango and guava.

Effects:

User reports describe a mix of physical relaxation and an animated, sociable mood with euphoria, talkativeness, giggling and a tingling in the body, in some cases also with drive and concentration. The same tester highlights a clear head without a dampening effect, whereas one strain description has a sedating phase follow the initial euphoria. Dry mouth and dry eyes are mentioned, along with nervousness, dizziness and tiredness; individual descriptions mention headache, rapid heartbeat or paranoia.

Lab Results:

A producer from British Columbia publishes measured values for 27 flower batches; it grows the strain as Fruit Loopz with the parentage Blue Dream × White Widow in a greenhouse. It reports 26.1 to 29.0 % THC and a terpene total of 2.12 to 4.19 %, without naming the laboratory. In every batch myrcene (0.73 to 1.61 %) leads limonene (0.40 to 0.87 %), followed in varying order by caryophyllene (0.15 to 0.48 %) and farnesene (0.11 to 0.46 %), with α-pinene instead of farnesene in 2 batches.

Older measurements are considerably lower: a strain overview summarizes 4 tests by the laboratories Analytical360 and SC Labs from 2014 to 2017 with 14.8 to 18.1 % THC and 0.04 to 0.05 % CBD, with mainly myrcene, caryophyllene and humulene in the terpene profile. For the Oregon batch mentioned, the tester's account cites a single measurement by the laboratory ChemHistory with 24.13 % THC and 0.09 % CBD. Values vary with batch, cultivation and phenotype; whether all samples trace back to the same genetics is not certain given the unclear parentage.

Cultivation:

The cultivation details for the plant without a clearly identified breeder come from strain descriptions. 2 of them describe compact, bushy plants with dense flowers, 7 to 10 weeks of flowering and an outdoor harvest between late September and late October. One mentions dark green foliage, orange pistils and purple tones in the cold toward the end of flowering. On climate the sources contradict each other: one names Mediterranean conditions, another prefers a cooler climate.

Consensus

Reports describe a mix of physical relaxation and a sociable, euphoric mood with talkativeness, giggling and tingling; the flavor is described as sweet and fruity with grapefruit and tropical notes. Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as accompanying effects.

Divergent reports

One report found the flavor soapy. A detailed report found the scent of a batch from Oregon more restrained than the name leads one to expect, and describes a clear head without a dampening effect; a strain description, by contrast, names a sedating phase after the initial euphoria. Individual reports mention nervousness and dizziness.
