Trueberry × Big Lemon, according to the breeder's description predominantly indica, medium to high yield, dense, heavily resinous buds with striking coloration; for indoor and outdoor cultivation.
also known as Gummy Bearz
Gummy Bears is a cross of Trueberry and Big Lemon by Elemental Seeds with a berry-lemon aroma; other breeders have released different strains under the same name.
Ripe berries, followed by tart lemon and a hint of pine: that is how Elemental Seeds describes the aroma of Gummy Bears, a cross of Trueberry and Big Lemon. Other strain descriptions place strawberry and candy-like sweetness in the foreground and list limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene as the dominant terpenes.
Experience reports range from a gummy-candy sweetness with berries and lemonade to a strong lemon scent that one grower noted on their 2015 harvest. One report mentions an aftertaste reminiscent of gasoline, while another describes an initially incense-like flavor.
According to pedigree information, Trueberry traces back to True OG and a cross of Strawberry Banana and Blackberry, while Big Lemon traces back to Lemon Haze and Big Bud. The breeder classifies Gummy Bears as predominantly indica. Some strain descriptions and producer listings differ: they name only True OG, Strawberry Banana and Blackberry as parents, matching Trueberry's pedigree without Big Lemon, and describe the strain as a balanced hybrid.
Other breeders have crossed the strain further, for example Keta Seeds with Animal Tree to create Magaiba, Anomaly Seeds with Green Jelliez to create Zour Punch, and Michiganrootz420 with Peanut Butter Cookies to create Peanut Butter Bears.
Reports describe an uplifted, cheerful state, at times with giggling and talkativeness, followed by physical relaxation that does not turn into heaviness. Some consumers experience the strain as both energizing and focused at the same time, while others emphasize its creative side. Diverging from this, one report describes a delayed but then strong onset, and the 2015 grower found their harvest strongly sedating. Reported side effects include dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness and paranoid thoughts. One review points to strongly varying quality depending on the origin of the flowers.
One widely used strain description lists 20 % THC. Other descriptions set the value somewhat lower or somewhat higher.
Elemental Seeds states a flowering time of 56 to 60 days, offers the strain exclusively as feminized seeds, and considers it suitable for both indoor and outdoor growing. According to the breeder's description, the plant develops dense, heavily resinous buds and a striking coloration. Because of the compact buds, strain descriptions recommend good air circulation to prevent mold.
A documented 2020 indoor grow using organic fertilization showed vigorous stretching after the switch to flowering, ending at around day 15 of bloom. The plant was secured with a support cage and kept in check in height through supercropping. It produced many medium-sized flower clusters with little leaf mass; from around day 40 of flowering, the lower fan leaves showed signs of phosphorus deficiency. The 2015 grower raised a large, resin-rich plant that, however, turned hermaphroditic and set around 30 seeds.
IDGSeeds describes its Gummy Bears as its first own cross, dating from 2017, before the breeder officially launched. It comes from Indiana Bubblegum and Amsterdam Bubblegum and is therefore genetically a different strain. The breeder states a ratio of 80 % indica and 20 % sativa, a THC content above 18 %, and CBD of 0 to 1 %; seeds are available only as regular. IDGSeeds lists the flowering time on its own site as 49 to 63 days, while a strain description based on the breeder gives 42 to 56 days. In terms of aroma, bubblegum stands alongside berries and floral notes.
Mosca Seeds crossed the Elemental strain with Gelato Auto to create a feminized autoflowering version. The corresponding strain description states a total time of 10 to 11 weeks from germination, along with yields of over 500 g/m² indoors and up to 100 g per plant outdoors. The breeder describes the flavor as sweet candy with gassy undertones.

In one documented indoor grow, vigorous stretching, completed at around day 15 of flowering; no factor stated.
Breeder: dense, heavily resinous buds. 2020 grow report: many medium-sized flower clusters with little leaf mass. One strain description recommends good air movement against mold because of the dense buds. 2015 grow report: large, resin-rich plant.
Documented 2020 indoor grow: support cage at the start of flowering, supercropping around day 24 of flowering for height control.
