Snow Lotus

also known as Goohead

Indica-dominant

Snow Lotus from Bodhi Seeds crosses Afgooey with a Blockhead male and became known mainly as the father of numerous hybrids of its own.

Research as of 10/26/2026

Snow Lotus became known mainly through its males: Bodhi Seeds crossed an Afgooey mother with a Blockhead male and then used the resulting line as a father in a long series of its own hybrids. A pedigree overview lists 59 direct offspring. The predominantly indica-leaning variety is also listed under the name Goohead.

Genetics and Origin:

The mother Afgooey is listed as a clone-only variety and traces back to Afghani #1 from Sensi Seeds and Maui Haze. Blockhead comes from Spice of Life Seeds and combines the Pakistani landrace P19 with Sweet Tooth. Bodhi Seeds describes the male it used as X19-heavy and says it showed no traits of Sweet Tooth.

In crosses, according to the breeder, Snow Lotus largely passes on the traits of the mother plant while increasing size, resin coverage and potency. Bodhi Seeds used the line for Goji OG, among others, in which an old OG Kush plant called Nepali OG is the mother, and for Super Snow Lotus with the clone Massachusetts Super Skunk. House of Funk Genetics also drew on Snow Lotus, for example for Snow Diesel and Arctic Fallout. Space Cake and Dragon Fruit are likewise listed as offspring.

Aroma and Flavor:

Descriptions of the aroma differ. Some name chemical and woody notes, extending to ammonia. Others emphasize earth, herbs and spice with a sharp, skunky edge and describe the taste as sweetish with pine and citrus. Still others speak of sweet berries and pine over an earthy base, complemented by floral notes. User reports mention an earthy, slightly chemical taste with a hint of lemon as well as a sweetish, fruity aroma. The dominant terpenes given are limonene, β-caryophyllene and myrcene, in a different order depending on the description.

Effects:

User reports describe a euphoric, mood-lifting effect combined with physical relaxation. Creativity and focus are mentioned several times. Some reports describe the variety as stimulating and talkative, while another describes drowsiness at a higher dose. Dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness and nervousness are listed as unwanted side effects.

THC Content:

Variety descriptions give THC values between 16 and 25 % for Snow Lotus, with the individual figures differing markedly. One description also lists 1 % CBG.

Cultivation:

The plant is described as rather short and branching, with strong side shoots, suited to indoor and outdoor cultivation and preferring a warm climate. According to one variety description, the flowering time is 7 to 9 weeks; for outdoor harvest in the northern hemisphere, the figures range from late September to mid-October.

The flowers are described as small, roundish heads that are very sticky and densely covered in trichomes, interlaced with thin orange pistils. Bodhi Seeds released Snow Lotus as regular seeds, including an F2 generation.
