Sherb Breath

A berry fruitiness with a cheesy undertone appears in several descriptions of Sherb Breath, which is also listed under the spelling Sherb's Breath. The strain comes from ThugPug Genetics, a breeder from the USA, who crossed Sunset Sherbert with a selection from Mendo Breath F2. A feminized version and a separate selection numbered 14 are also in circulation under the same name.

Aroma and Flavor:

Strain descriptions associate the flavor with berries, grapes and cheese and compare the fruit note to tropical punch. Another description speaks of a sweet and sour mix of citrus and berries; for the aroma it also lists earth, herbs and spice.

The combination of cheese and berries recurs in user reports. One consumer tastes mostly berries and tropical fruit, another describes diesel, sourness and a hint of ammonia. A supplier's product description names a diesel base with sweet notes reminiscent of breakfast cereal.

One strain description lists limonene as the dominant terpene, followed by caryophyllene; in third place the same source names myrcene in one passage and pinene in another.

Genetics and Origin:

ThugPug Genetics lists Sunset Sherbert and Mendo Breath F2 as the parents. The breeder calls the Mendo Breath F2 selection used Studly Spewright; the F2 line itself goes back to Gage Green Group. One strain description classes Sherb Breath as 80 % indica, while others list the strain as a hybrid without any weighting. ThugPug Genetics released it as regular seeds, and no feminized version from the breeder is on record.

Several breeders have used Sherb Breath in their own work. ThugPug Genetics crossed it with Pearly White to make Pearly Sherb, Motherland Genetics grew out an F2 generation, Triple C Genetics is the source of Cheesy Amethyst and Opal Breath, and Horners Horticulture of Kobe Sherb.

Effects:

User reports mention creativity, talkativeness, energy and focus, along with euphoria and an elevated mood. One consumer considers the strain sativa-leaning even though the dispensary had listed it as indica-dominant; another likewise places it on the sativa side. A different report describes a heavy onset followed by relaxation, tiredness and a dreamlike state.

One strain description puts calm, a burst of creativity and markedly increased sociability in the foreground. Anxiety is named as an unwanted effect; the same consumer who reports it also mentions a tingling sensation.

THC Content:

For the THC content, one strain description gives 21 to 22 %, another 15 to 20 %.

Cultivation:

ThugPug Genetics gives a flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks for Sherb Breath and describes the plants as medium to tall. According to a strain description, indoor and outdoor cultivation are possible.

The dried flowers are described in different ways. One description mentions densely packed buds with whitish to light green foliage and many orange hairs, another flat, heart-shaped flowers in dark olive green with a purple undertone, amber hairs and trichomes with a violet shimmer.

Versions from Different Breeders:

Besides the original from ThugPug Genetics, Crop King Seeds lists a feminized Sherb Breath from Sunset Sherbet and Mendo Breath, without naming an original breeder. For this version the supplier gives 55 to 64 days of flowering, 350 to 500 g/m² indoors and 100 g per plant outdoors, a harvest in September, and 18 to 20.5 % THC and 0.8 to 1.01 % CBD.

Sherb Breath #14 from Rolen Stone Farms likewise goes back to Sunset Sherbert and Mendo Breath. According to a strain description, this selection is grown outdoors and ripens there in early to mid October. The flowers are described as forest green and loosely structured, with a scent of hops, citrus and cinnamon and a flavor of oranges, hops and pine.

Community Experiences:

On potency, older reports differ widely. One consumer rates the effect as mediocre, while others describe a fast-onset, intense effect and attribute the differences to the work of the respective grower; one describes a sample densely covered in trichomes. One report highlights the flavor and the long duration of effect, and another is reminded of cannabis from before commercialization.
