Peanut Butter Crunch

also known as PB Crunch

Hybrid
Indica 70 %Sativa 30 %

Peanut Butter Crunch refers to several crosses from different breeders, all derived from Peanut Butter Breath and sharing nutty, buttery aromas with a creamy sweetness.

Research as of 11/06/2026

The name Peanut Butter Crunch covers at least 5 crosses with different pedigrees, all of which refer back to Peanut Butter Breath. 4 versions use that strain directly as a parent. The 5th crosses Do-Si-Dos with Mendo Breath, thereby returning to exactly the two lines that produced Peanut Butter Breath. Which genetics are in a plant or flower sold under this name therefore depends on the line in question.

Versions from Different Breeders:

The most thoroughly described line is the one from Do-Si-Dos × Mendo Breath. A product description attributes it to the breeder Fire Bros. from Seattle, and it is also documented under the short name PB Crunch. Another strain description names the same parents without a breeder and classifies the strain as indica-dominant, with 70 % indica and 30 % sativa.

Beyond Top Shelf crossed an F2 generation of Peanut Butter Breath with Crunchberries, a combination of Blueberry and Triple OG. The predominantly indica-leaning strain is listed as unreleased and was never available as feminized seed. Lit Farms spells the name Peanut Butta Crunch and combined Peanut Butter Breath with a line called Project 4516; this version is described as feminized seed.

Crop King Seeds names Peanut Butter Breath and Captain Crunch as parents and lists its own version as a balanced hybrid with feminized seeds. Rocket Seeds gives the same parentage for its Peanut Butter Crunch. A product version from Canada is also described, made from Peanut Butter Breath × (Death Valley × Cherry Breath).

THC and CBD Content:

A strain description lists 23 % THC and 1 % CBG for Peanut Butter Crunch. For the line from Do-Si-Dos × Mendo Breath, up to 25 % THC is given. Crop King Seeds puts its own version at 23 % THC and 1 % CBD, and the Canadian product version is listed at 28 % THC. Because the figures come from different lines, they do not add up to a common range.

Lab Results:

An evaluation of lab certificates for products under this name, with no sample count given, yields limonene as the strongest terpene on average at 0.87 %. It is followed by beta-caryophyllene at 0.43 %, humulene at 0.38 % and linalool at 0.26 %. Another strain description puts caryophyllene first, followed by pinene and humulene. Such values vary with batch, cultivation and phenotype.

Aroma and Flavor:

The sources agree on a nutty, buttery note with creamy sweetness that gives way to earthy and herbal tones on the finish. Diesel also appears, and one description mentions an ammonia-like edge. A user report on flowers from the Fire Bros. line records an earthy base with a slight fuel note, plus floral hints and spice notes reminiscent of chai, curry and cumin; the strain, it says, resembles peanut butter only remotely. For the Canadian version, the producer lists peanut butter, accompanied by citrus, earth and herbs and a spiciness like toasted nuts.

Effects:

The user reports reviewed link relaxation with an uplifted mood and creativity, and several also mention an arousing component. How strongly the strain sedates is reported differently: some reports describe a talkative, silly or focused mood, others a heavy, sleep-inducing effect that extends to tiredness. One report describes tingling throughout the body without paralyzing heaviness. Reported side effects are dry mouth, dry eyes and headache.

Cultivation:

For the Beyond Top Shelf version, 60 to 65 days of flowering are given, and it is intended for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. Lit Farms' Peanut Butta Crunch is described with roughly 65 days of flowering and as suitable indoors and outdoors. Crop King Seeds gives 8 to 10 weeks of flowering, a September harvest and yields of 300 g/m² indoors and 400 g per plant outdoors. As climate, the supplier names Mediterranean conditions with plenty of sun and moderate temperatures and rates the strain as relatively easy to cultivate; Rocket Seeds gives the same values for flowering time, harvest, yield and climate.

The flowers of the Do-Si-Dos × Mendo Breath line are described as dense and cluster-shaped, dark olive green with thin amber hairs and a milky amber trichome coating. Dense, olive-green flowers streaked with orange hairs are also described for the Canadian version.

The reports link relaxation with an uplifted mood and creativity; an arousing component is mentioned several times. Reported side effects are dry mouth, dry eyes and headache.

Divergent reports

Some reports describe a talkative, silly or focused effect, others a heavy, sleep-inducing to tiring effect. One report describes tingling throughout the body without couchlock. One report on flowers from Fire Bros. finds the peanut butter flavor only faintly suggested and instead describes earthy, slightly fuel-like, floral and spicy notes (chai, curry, cumin).
