For White Lotus, Bodhi Seeds pollinated the clone The White with a male from its own Snow Lotus line. The breeder description assigns the roles clearly: the dense resin coverage is said to come from the mother, while the father is meant to add size, structure and potency without masking the mother's traits. Only regular seeds are documented.
Genetics and Origin:
The White is passed on as a pure clone, and its own ancestry is unresolved. Bodhi Seeds calls the mother Kromes The White and highlights its even trichome coverage and its potency.
Snow Lotus traces back to Afgooey, a cross of Maui Haze and Afghani that Bodhi paired with a Blockhead male. According to a pedigree overview from Spice of Life Seeds, Blockhead combines a Pakistani landrace with Sweet Tooth; for the male used, the breeder stresses that it showed no Sweet Tooth traits.
The strain descriptions disagree on where the strain sits between indica and sativa. One lists White Lotus as predominantly indica-leaning, two others give a ratio of 50 to 50, and one of those calls the strain indica-dominant in the same text.
As a parent, White Lotus appears in the pedigrees of other breeders. Grand Daddy Purp crossed its own Bay 11 with White Lotus to make Bay Lotus. RedEyed Genetics produced Kobain Kush from Bubba Kush and White Lotus and Mt. Rainier from Northern Lights #5 and White Lotus; Taylormade Selections produced Betty White and Sharpie, with Party Cake and Sly Green respectively as the second parent.
Aroma and Flavor:
Bodhi Seeds describes a scent of wild mountain berries and a warm, tart flavor with a hash note. Other strain descriptions put citrus first and add lemon, pineapple, earth, hash, sage, floral and spicy notes. In user reports, the pairing of earthy hash and a sweetish citrus note recurs. Some consumers, by contrast, describe a strong smell of lemon and pine with a chemical edge, or a flavor reminiscent of incense.
Strain descriptions name myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene as the leading terpenes, though in differing order. One of them adds linalool, pinene and humulene.
THC and CBD Content:
Strain descriptions give 19 to 20 % THC, two of them additionally 1 % CBG. Another lists around 1 % CBD instead of CBG.
Effects:
The common denominator of the user reports is a relaxed, euphoric mood. Consumers also describe giggliness, talkativeness, focus and creative impulses. Two reports describe a delayed onset after 10 to 15 minutes.
Verdicts on strength are inconsistent. Several reports describe a heavy, creeping effect that ends in sleepiness; others found a clear, rather stimulating state, and one consumer found the effect weaker than smell and flavor suggested.
As accompanying effects, strain descriptions list dry mouth and dry eyes, one of them also pronounced physical heaviness. In one user report, marked nervousness lasted around 2 hours; another mentions a sensation of heat and numbness.
Cultivation:
The description of the Bodhi seeds gives a flowering time of around 63 days, other strain descriptions 7 to 9 weeks. The seed description rates the yield as high and also highlights the strong resin coverage. Strain descriptions differ on how demanding cultivation is: one considers the strain easy to cultivate, another moderately difficult.
