Hitman OG Kush

Only half of the pedigree of Hitman OG Kush is disclosed. DNA Genetics crossed OG Kush with a strain the breeder does not name and released the result as a limited edition. The breeder classes the strain, also listed as Hitman OG and HitMan OG, as 80 % indica. Other breeders have since crossed it into their own lines.

Genetics and Origin:

Another strain description characterizes the unknown crossing partner merely as a strong, indica-dominant hybrid and likewise gives a ratio of 80 to 20 in favor of indica. Elsewhere Hitman OG Kush is simply listed as a hybrid, and one user report even calls it a sativa.

The strain appears as a parent in several pedigrees. Rocky Mountain High 719 crossed Ghost OG with Hitman OG and named the result White Licorice. A male of this line pollinated a cutting of Cookies & Cream at Duty Free Seeds, in collaboration with Love For The Plant; this produced Ghost Cream. Ghost Papaya also comes from Duty Free Seeds, made by combining a cross of Ghost OG and Hitman OG with Sour Papaya from Oni Seed Co. Therapy Seeds combined Hitman OG with Sour Bubble Bx3 to make Sicario; that the DNA Genetics version was used is noted only as probable.

Aroma and Flavor:

There are 2 barely compatible descriptions of the aroma. One lists diesel, cheese and wood and gives the terpenes as myrcene ahead of limonene and pinene. Individual user reports add a strongly skunky smell of the buds and an earthy taste when smoked.

The other description gives a sweetish lemon aroma with lavender and pine, accompanied by earthy, woody and floral notes. A user report with the same lemon-lavender note compares the taste to English breakfast tea. The buds described there were long and tapering, bright light green, with thin orange hairs and trichomes shimmering golden yellow. For a shatter extract of this strain, the manufacturer gives limonene, pinene and linalool as terpenes.

THC and CBD Content:

DNA Genetics gives more than 20 % THC for Hitman OG and calls such values normal even for inexperienced growers. Other figures deviate in both directions: one strain description lists 18 % THC and 0 % CBD, while a user report gives an average of 24 to 29 % THC without naming a lab or a measurement.

For the shatter extract mentioned, the manufacturer reports 85.7 % THC and 1.6 % CBD after testing by Harrens Lab. The value refers to a concentrate and cannot be transferred to flowers.

Effects:

The user reports differ. Some consumers describe a light, cheerful high that lasts a long time. Several report staying talkative and focused and being able to stay active during the day; restlessness did not occur. One report mentions a feeling of warmth in the chest, while another, about a concentrate, describes a heavy effect.

Other accounts begin with an elevated, cerebral mood that shifts into pronounced relaxation, accompanied by slight dazedness and, at higher amounts, drowsiness. Dry mouth appears in several reports as an accompanying effect.

Cultivation:

Cultivation data so far come solely from DNA Genetics. The breeder gives a flowering time of 56 to 63 days and a yield of 450 to 550 g/m². According to the breeder, the plant suits indoor and outdoor growing and is manageable even for beginners. It grows tall, which is why DNA Genetics advises planning for the final height before switching to flower. Hitman OG Kush was released exclusively as regular seed; feminized seeds never existed.
