Lemon Haze appears in each of the documented lineages of Purple Lemon Haze, while the accounts of the purple parent differ. A widely circulated strain description lists the strain as a cross of Purple Kush and Lemon Haze without naming a breeder. Cartier Crops lists its own cross under the same name, made by pollinating a Lemon Haze mother with Pimp Juice from Native Sun Genetics.
Genetics and Origin:
For the Purple Kush variant, the same description gives a sativa share of 70 % and an indica share of 30 %. Cartier Crops, by contrast, classes its own version as a balanced hybrid and also discloses the grandparents. According to the breeder, Lemon Haze goes back to Silver Haze and Lemon Skunk, and Pimp Juice to Cartier Cookie and Purple Punch. An F2 generation of Pimp Juice served as the father.
Versions from Different Breeders:
For its version, Cartier Crops states a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks and describes the yield as high and the plant height as medium. The seed is regular, meaning not feminized. The breeder describes cultivation as comparatively easy; by its own account the line is still in the testing phase.
THC and CBD Content:
The figures in strain descriptions differ: one gives 18 % THC with 0 % CBD, another 19 to 22 % THC. None of the values is tied to a lab measurement.
Aroma and Flavor:
For flavor, one strain description combines lemon and grape with fruity tones, and for scent citrus and grape with earthy, Kush-like notes. Another records apricot, berry and a cheesy note. Cartier Crops describes the aroma of its version as earthy and spicy with an emphasis on citrus. Myrcene is named as the predominant terpene by both the breeder and a strain description; Cartier Crops adds limonene and caryophyllene, the strain description pinene and caryophyllene.
A single user report differs markedly. There the scent came across as sweet and floral, a citrus note was absent, and the flowers hardly appeared purple. A strain description, by contrast, portrays dark olive-green flowers with purple leaves, strong orange hairs and dense trichome coverage.
Effects:
User reports mainly describe a stimulating, head-centered effect. Drive, creativity, talkativeness, euphoria and silliness are mentioned, occasionally also focus and a tingling in the body. Others noted marked physical relaxation after the energizing start, and one report also drowsiness. Several ratings stress that the strain does not tire; one found it rather mild. Cartier Crops describes its own version as invigorating with a clear head and a relaxed body.
Dry mouth is named as a side effect. One report also describes headaches, restlessness, paranoid thoughts, rumination and fatigue.
