also known as Scott OG, Scotts OG
Scott's OG is a cross of Triangle Kush and Rare Dankness #1 by Rare Dankness from Colorado, with hard, resinous flowers and conflicting accounts of growth habit.
How much Scott's OG stretches after the switch to flowering is described differently depending on the source. One strain description speaks of tight, compact growth in the vegetative phase, followed by far-reaching side branches in flowering. A seed retailer describes the plant as low and stocky indoors, while a grower called their indoor plant lanky and had to support it in flowering. Sources agree on hard, compact flowers with a dense resin coating. The indica-dominant hybrid of Triangle Kush and Rare Dankness #1 comes from Rare Dankness in the US state of Colorado.
Rare Dankness gives a flowering time of 50 to 65 days and describes the strain as very resinous, with a solid yield and little effort in trimming. The breeder lists it for indoor and outdoor growing and released it as regular and feminized seeds. A seed retailer puts the flowering time longer than the breeder does. For outdoor growing, one strain description gives harvest in late September to October.
One documented indoor grow came to 65 days of flowering. The grower described the dried flowers as hard and compact and the ratio of flowers to leaves as very good, but the yield as average. According to retailer information, the resin coating extends from the flowers across the sugar leaves to the stems.
Assessments of difficulty differ: one seed retailer rates cultivation as easy, one strain description as moderately difficult.
Rare Dankness was founded by Scott Reach, who is known by the nickname Moonshine. Strain descriptions give 2010 and 2011 as the years of the strain's origin. A strain profile traces the mother plant, a Triangle Kush, back to Reach's time with the Devil's Harvest Krew; it was pollinated with pollen from a male of Rare Dankness #1. According to the same profile, the name does not refer to Reach but to his friend Scott Blakey, who works as a breeder under the name Shantibaba.
According to one strain description, Rare Dankness #1 is a selected male from a multi-stage breeding line: a cross of Ghost OG and Chemdawg was followed by a backcross to Ghost OG, and the result was then crossed with Triangle Kush. As a parent, Scott's OG is documented in Siren Song by Pro Terp Genetics (Mendo Breath × Scotts OG) and in Riff OG by Ember Valley (Fire OG × Scott's OG), among others.
Several breeders carry their own versions, some under the name Scott OG. Blim Burn Seeds explicitly names Rare Dankness as the originator, offers only feminized seeds and gives 8 to 10 weeks of flowering indoors, harvest in October, up to 550 g/m² and 15 to 19 % THC. For cultivation, this breeder recommends LST and a nutrient-rich substrate.
According to pedigree information, the feminized version from United Cannabis Seeds goes back to a selfing in which a reversed plant supplied the pollen. The breeder gives 25 to 26 % THC and 0.5 % CBD. Elite Clone Seed Company describes its feminized S1 as a selfing of the original Scott's OG clone and gives 60 to 70 days of flowering, up to 500 g/m² indoors and 20 to 25 % THC.
According to Scott Reach, the strain often tests over 25 % THC. Strain descriptions give values between 22 and 29 % THC and between 0.4 and 1 % CBD, and one also lists 1 % CBG.
Rare Dankness describes the smell as pungent, with lemon and kush. Strain descriptions add earthy and sour notes, plus wood and pine; one seed retailer mentions a floral base with a hint of blueberry. For flavor, consumers name citrus, pine, earth and gasoline, some also herbs and flowers. One grower noted chocolate, acidity and a musky note, and one producer speaks of a musty, old-school kush character.
Strain descriptions list limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene as the leading terpenes. For a single batch, one producer gave 1.69 % total terpenes, with myrcene ahead of limonene and caryophyllene.
The common denominator in user reports is euphoria and relaxation. Creativity, giddiness, appetite and a tingling in the body are also mentioned. The reports disagree on whether the strain is more stimulating or tiring: some describe focus and energy, others drowsiness up to the feeling of being glued to the sofa. One grower described the effect as very strong and long-lasting, with tolerance building up only slowly. Reported side effects are dry mouth and dry eyes, occasionally paranoia and a mild headache as the effect fades.

No factor documented; one strain description gives compact growth in vegetation and strongly spreading side branches in flowering.
Growth habit contradictory: low and stocky indoors (seed retailer), lanky with need for support (grow report), compact in vegetation and spreading in flowering (strain description). Resin coating extends to the stems according to a retailer; easy to trim according to the breeder.
Support needed in flowering according to one grow report. LST recommendation only from Blim Burn Seeds for its own version.
Several breeders sell their own versions under this name. Each figure comes from the respective breeder.

User reports agree on euphoria and relaxation, plus an uplifted mood; grow reports describe hard, compact, very resinous flowers.
Opinions differ on whether the strain stimulates (focus, energy) or tires (drowsiness, couch lock). On growth, accounts range from stocky to lanky with a need for support; yield is rated from average to large.
