Sour Pebbles
Sour Pebbles, a cross of Alien Diesel and Fruity Pebbles OG from Washington, is attributed to Fire Bros. and reached 3rd place at the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup.
At the Cannabis Cup held by High Times magazine in Washington in 2014, Sour Pebbles took 3rd place in the Best Medical Sativa category. The cross of Alien Diesel and Fruity Pebbles OG was entered by the producer Fire Bros. from the same US state to which strain profiles assign the strain.
Genetics and Origin:
Fruity Pebbles OG, also listed in strain descriptions as FPOG or simply Fruity Pebbles, was crossed with Alien Diesel. Sources describe inconsistently what role Fire Bros. played: some name the company as the breeder, others only as the grower. According to one strain description, Sour Pebbles was passed on as a cutting.
The classification varies as well. In some places the strain is listed as a sativa, in others as a sativa-leaning hybrid, and elsewhere as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa. Fire Bros. crossed Sour Pebbles again with Fruity Pebbles OG; this produced Sweet Pebbles, whose scent is described as more floral.
Aroma and Flavor:
Strain profiles describe a scent in which sweet and sour notes sit side by side. Named are sour lemon, berries and fruit, a note reminiscent of breakfast cereal, and diesel. Other descriptions add flowers, herbs and earth.
The flavor is described as sweet fruit, candy and gasoline. One description notes that the gas note comes through more strongly when burned and that citrus lingers in the aftertaste. User reports confirm a very intense smell of the flowers but also contain criticism: in one report the product tasted of damp hay, in another a cartridge tasted of burnt material.
Details on the terpene profile diverge. One widely circulated strain description names caryophyllene as the dominant terpene, followed by limonene and linalool. Another puts terpinolene first, and a third lists limonene ahead of myrcene and caryophyllene.
Effects:
At the core of the user reports is a stimulating effect. Consumers describe energy, lifted mood, talkativeness and focus, along with euphoria, giggling and creativity. One report compares the effect to that of caffeine, another describes tingling in the lips and altered visual perception. Differing from this, some consumers report a clear head with a relaxed body, without tiredness setting in.
Several reports name mild headaches as side effects, as well as dry eyes, dry mouth and a scratchy throat. One strain description points out that novice consumers may encounter confusion.
THC and CBD Content:
Sour Pebbles was measured in a single measurement by Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs in 2026. The sample, a product sold as THCA-rich hemp flower, contained 28.7 % THCA and 25.4 % total THC, plus 0.0548 % CBD and 0.193 % CBG.
Another widely circulated strain description gives 18 % THC and 1 % CBG. Crop King Seeds states 17 % THC and 0.45 % CBD for its seeds.
Versions from Different Breeders:
No seeds from Fire Bros. itself are documented. Crop King Seeds lists a feminized version with the same parentage, without establishing a link to the plant from Washington. According to Crop King Seeds, it flowers for 8 to 9 weeks and yields 400 g/m² indoors and 500 g per plant outdoors; the outdoor harvest falls in late September to early October. The seller classifies the strain as suitable for beginners and names a temperate climate as fitting. On its page, 2 customer reports describe quick germination, sturdy stems and large fan leaves.
Cultivation:
One strain description gives a flowering time of 56 to 63 days and an outdoor harvest in mid-October, which is later than Crop King Seeds. It describes tall plants that stretch markedly after the start of flowering and, for outdoor cultivation, sunny, dry locations. On difficulty the sources contradict each other: Crop King Seeds considers the strain suitable for beginners, while another description rates it as moderate.
