- Flowering
- 63 days
Nepalese Hashplant x Hindu Kush, Indica; flowering time stated as ±63 days; tall, bushy plants, intended for hashish production; indoor and outdoor.
Two lines circulate under the name Temple Kush: a cross of Nepalese Hashplant and Hindu Kush, and a line from Ethos Genetics made from OG Kush, Sour Diesel and Temple Flo.
Both lines circulating under the name Temple Kush point to old hashish traditions. The version from JustFeminized.com crosses a Nepalese Hashplant with Hindu Kush; according to the seller, it comes from the Hindu Kush region, where Temple Balls and charas are made. The second line goes back to Ethos Genetics. It combines OG Kush and Sour Diesel with Temple Flo, a selection from the Floral Line by the breeder DJ Short, and several later crosses refer to it.
Temple Flo traces back to 1 male and 1 female plant of the “TF/TF” line from 1995 and is considered an F3 of the Floral Line, in which Purple Thai and Afghani come together. Purple Thai itself arose from Highland Oaxacan Gold and Chocolate Thai. Ethos Genetics combined this line with OG Kush and Sour Diesel and lists Temple Kush in several breeding stages, including an F2 A Line and an F3.
Other strain descriptions classify the strain differently: as a pure indica from Nepalese Hashplant and Hindu Kush, as a cross of Hindu Kush and an unknown parent, or as a combination of Nepal Hash Plant and OG Kush. One description of the Ethos line rates it as sativa-dominant, while others list Temple Kush as an indica.
Ethos Genetics has used its own line further, among others for Member OG, Lemon Grape Bubba Temple and a cross of Wedding Cake and Temple Kush F3. James Bong Genetics paired Josh D OG with the Ethos line and then crossed the result with Fatso to make Josh Candy. Charm Cookies by Mamiko Seeds is also listed as an offspring.
Ethos Genetics describes its Temple Kush as vigorous and well suited to topping. The medium-sized flowers become hard and compact and ripen after about 8 to 9 weeks. The breeder lists the strain only as regular seeds and states it for indoor and outdoor. The product description of the F2 A Line, in contrast, gives 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, a high yield and 20 to 25 % THC. It rates this line as moderately difficult to grow, calls it suitable for SCROG and advises training the shoots to several tops.
JustFeminized.com lists Temple Kush exclusively as feminized seeds and gives a flowering time of about 63 days. According to this description, the plants grow tall and bushy and form thick, compact buds with indica character, which the seller intends for bubble hash, sieved hashish and scissor hash. This version, too, is stated for indoor and outdoor.
The descriptions differ depending on the line. For the Ethos version, one strain description names pine with orange and grapefruit, plus pepper and clove; for the Hashplant version, hashish with an undertone of forest and herbs. More general descriptions list diesel, lemon and grapefruit, or an earthy, spicy and woody scent with sour, floral and herbal notes.
In the user reports, lemon and pine recur, partly sweet, partly over a sour, musty base note reminiscent of damp earth and overripe citrus peel. One report highlights a strong diesel smell. Strain descriptions name limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene as the defining terpenes; whether limonene or myrcene comes first is stated differently.
Mainly reported are relaxation, elevated mood and euphoria, often with a tingling in the body. How strongly the body is involved varies between reports: some describe a heavy, numbing body effect and drowsiness, another a light effect that begins in the head and slowly moves into the body. Talkativeness, giggling fits, creativity, appetite and arousal are also mentioned. Ethos Genetics itself describes the effect of its line as euphoric and cerebral with clear OG traits.
Several consumers emphasize the strength; in one report a single pipe bowl was enough for several people. Reported side effects are dry mouth, dry eyes and anxiety, and one strain description additionally lists racing heart and paranoia.
One strain description gives 23 to 27 % THC. In 2 user reports, pack labels of 20 % and 26.4 % THC are cited. Such values vary by batch, cultivation and phenotype, and none of them is assigned to either of the two lines.
