Elon Musky

Behind the name Elon Musky is a cross of Wedding Cake and Rocket Fuel; Rocket Fuel itself traces back to Jet Fuel and Face Off OG. The hybrid was bred by Lifted Cannabis Co, an indoor producer and processor from Tacoma in the US state of Washington, which added it to its Luxury Line as an in-house cross.

Genetics and Origin:

A post from 2019 presents Elon Musky as part of the then-new Luxury Line, a series of crosses that Lifted grew exclusively in its own garden. Because Wedding Cake had found early favor at the company, it was crossed with strains from its own stock, including Rocket Fuel. Lifted names the same lineage on its own page for Metaverse. For this follow-up cross, Upperleft Genetics combined Elon Musky with Boysenberry Creme Brûlée; the result is listed as a sativa-leaning hybrid.

Other strain descriptions differ. Some list the parent strains as unknown; one names Jet Fuel Gelato and Space Queen and also points to variants with Alien Technology, Sour Dubble and Bio Diesel in the lineage. There is no agreement on classification either: some treat Elon Musky as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa, others as indica-leaning. One description gives Emu as a short name.

Aroma and Flavor:

Diesel is the note on which the producer's description and several strain descriptions agree. Lifted pairs it with a cake flavor and sees both parents represented in equal parts. Other profiles add cheese and berries, or a sweet, creamy vanilla note with spicy and herbal elements and a pungent smell.

Strain descriptions name myrcene as the leading terpene, followed by limonene and linalool; others additionally list caryophyllene, and one also pinene.

Effects:

Lifted and other strain descriptions portray a course that begins stimulating with an uplifted mood and passes into deep physical relaxation that can extend to drowsiness. The producer attributes the stimulating part to Rocket Fuel, the later tapering off to Wedding Cake. One strain description lists dry mouth, headaches and inner restlessness as unwanted side effects.

THC Content:

One strain description puts the THC content at 23 to 29 %, while others give single values of 22 and 23 %. For CBG, 1 % is stated in 2 descriptions.

Community Experiences:

The consumption reports read confirm the mix of stimulation and relaxation but weight them differently. Some describe the strain as energetic and talkative or as silly and cheerful, others as creative and focused while relaxed at the same time. In one report, drowsiness is the main feature.

On flavor, the word earthy recurs in several reports. Dark fruit notes are mentioned occasionally, as are mint and a mixture of cheese, fuel, fruit and skunk. Large buds are mentioned by 2 consumers; one strain description portrays them as heavy and bright light green with a golden undertone, long thin orange hairs and a white coating of resin.
