Forum Cut Cookies is a phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies from the San Francisco Bay Area, propagated exclusively as a cutting, whose parentage is disputed.

Research as of 10/26/2026

Forum Cut Cookies is a selected cutting of Girl Scout Cookies, the strain from the San Francisco Bay Area that strain descriptions attribute to the breeder Jigga. Several sources name OG Kush and an F1 of Durban Poison as its parents. The Forum Cut is propagated exclusively by vegetative means and is also known as Forum Cookies or GSC Forum Cut.

Genetics and Origin:

How the clone should be classified genetically remains disputed. The OG Kush is sometimes described as a Florida or South Florida variant, whereas one strain description names Durban Poison and Cherry Kush as the parents. One clone vendor considers the Forum Cut an S1 of the original Girl Scout Cookies and relays the suspicion that Cat Piss could be behind the Durban F1; a pedigree lists Thin Mint as a likely parent. The type classification is just as inconsistent: one description gives 60 % indica and 40 % sativa, another speaks of a predominantly indica-leaning clone, a third of a sativa-dominant phenotype.

Accounts of its origin place the cutting in Emeryville, California. A strain overview published in 2026 names a grower called Ghost who is said to have distributed it from 2008 onward, and at the same time notes that not every plant traded under the name today is documented to be the same clone. The Forum Cut owes its name to the online communities where growers swapped it and compared it with other Cookies cuts; Thin Mint and Platinum, for example, circulated from the same line.

The clone is documented as a parent in several strains. Ethos Genetics crossed it with Mandarin Sunset to create Mandarin Cookies, Bodhi Seeds with Snow Lotus to create Space Cake, and Archive Seed Bank with Face Off OG BX1 to create Samoas. Forum Cut GSC BX comes from Sin City Seeds, a cross with Sin Mint Cookies, which itself traces back to Forum Cookies. ApeOrigin also has its own version under the name Girl Scout Cookies Forum Cookies.

Aroma and Flavor:

Sweetness and earthiness form the base in the descriptions. Depending on the source, pepper and spice, mint up to a menthol-like note, chocolate and cookie dough, and a fuel note that consumers describe as diesel are layered on top. Sandalwood and pine appear in strain descriptions as well as in one user report. For flavor, consumers name butter, citrus and sweetness, a few also lemon; a strain profile adds vanilla and nut.

Effects:

The user reports point in two directions. Some consumers describe euphoria and drive, along with creative phases, and a few also talkativeness or silliness. Others describe a strong body effect and relaxation to the point of tiredness; one report speaks of being stuck on the couch. One strain description combines the two into a progression that starts stimulating and reflective and ends heavily.

Dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness and nervousness are named as accompanying effects, and one report also mentions headaches.

Lab Results:

An analysis published in 2026 summarizes 81 lab tests of flower that were run between 2015 and 2024 in 6 US states under the name Forum Cookies; 16 labs were involved. The median was 18.75 % total THC, with the middle half of the results between 15.71 and 21.20 %. Of 63 tests that reported CBD, 20 showed no CBD, and the highest value was 0.64 %. Only 10 tests from Nevada were available for terpenes; their median came to 0.78 % β-caryophyllene, 0.33 % α-humulene and 0.27 % limonene. The values vary by batch, cultivation and phenotype, and the analysis itself classes the sample as small.

One strain description puts the THC content higher, at 20 to 28 %. Another names caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene as the leading terpenes, which matches the measurements for caryophyllene.

Cultivation:

For flowering, 2 clone vendors state 9 to 10 weeks. Several sources describe the buds as hard and very dense, though one of the vendors calls them rather small to medium-sized. According to that vendor, the plant turns dark purple to almost black in cooler temperatures; other descriptions also mention purple flowers. The sources rate the yield as low to medium, and some user reports call the strain low-yielding.

The descriptions of growth contradict each other. One strain profile describes a lanky, vine-like plant with thin stems and wide internodes, one clone vendor speaks of medium spacing, another of compact, heavily branched growth that stretches only slightly in the first 3 weeks of flowering. This vendor describes topping at the 4th node followed by a trellis net, from which 8 to 12 main shoots of equal height emerge. The vegetative phase is slow to moderately fast according to the 808 information from a clone vendor.

Aroma and flavor are consistently described as sweet and earthy, along with fuel and diesel notes, citrus, pepper and pine. The effect is described as strong; euphoria and creativity are mentioned repeatedly.

Divergent reports

Some of the reports describe a stimulating, head-focused effect for daytime, others a strong body effect up to tiredness or being stuck on the couch. One report mentions headaches, another nervousness. One rater gave the lowest score despite describing a strong effect, without giving a reason. User ratings also describe the strain as low-yielding.
