Mac Burger

Donny Burger, a cross of GMO and Han Solo Burger, contributes one half of the genetic material of Mac Burger, with the MAC line providing the other. The version by Knock Out Genetics is the most precisely described, with the pedigree (MAC × Tropicanna Cookies) × Donny Burger. Several breeders, however, list crosses under the same or almost the same name whose parents in part differ markedly.

Genetics and Origin:

Knock Out Genetics is a small operation on Tenerife that produces regular seeds from organic cultivation. In its version, a MAC cross with Tropicanna Cookies meets Donny Burger; which side served as the mother plant is not stated. Whether Knock Out Genetics was the first to present the combination remains open.

Another strain description gives the same lineage but spells the cookies parent Tropicana, and classifies Mac Burger as a balanced hybrid with 50 % indica and 50 % sativa. Elsewhere, Mac Burger OG is listed as a second name. Under the spelling Macburger OG, however, Skunk House Genetics offers a separate cross with a different pedigree.

Versions from Different Breeders:

For the Knock Out Genetics version, only regular seeds and a flowering time of around 70 days are recorded.

Macburger OG from Skunk House Genetics combines Mac1 with Donny Burger and crosses the result with Paris Larry, a combination of Paris OG and Larry OG. Mac1 in turn goes back to Alien Cookies and a cross of Colombian and Starfighter. This strain, too, is available only as regular seeds, and its flowering time is given as about 63 days.

Blimburn Seeds lists feminized seeds of a Mac Burger made from Donny Burger F2 #6 and Mac F1 #9, so without Tropicanna Cookies. The breeder states 10 to 12 weeks of flowering, 450 to 550 g/m² indoors and 550 to 700 g per plant outdoors; in the open, the harvest falls in November in the Northern Hemisphere according to Blimburn Seeds. It gives caryophyllene as the main terpene, and indoors the strain is said to respond well to SCROG.

Rocket Seeds names entirely different parents for feminized seeds under the same name: Apple Fritter × Mai Thai, a pedigree without a MAC or Burger line.

THC Content:

One strain description gives 26 to 29 % THC for Mac Burger, another 26 %. Blimburn Seeds puts the content of its own version at 24 to 28 %.

Aroma and Flavor:

According to several descriptions, the strain smells pungent, with diesel and a sour citrus note that one source specifically names as lemon. In taste this combination is retained and turns sweeter toward the exhale; one producer adds earthy notes. Another description lists chemical and earthy notes with a woody touch and names limonene as the dominant terpene, followed by caryophyllene and pinene.

Effects:

A lifted, euphoric mood accompanied by physical relaxation is described. Talkativeness and concentration are also mentioned, occasionally silliness. One strain description points out that Mac Burger can have a strongly sedating effect.

Community Experiences:

The 3 evaluated user reports are positive but set different emphases. Concentration and relaxation each appear twice. One of the reports found the strain sativa-leaning and weaker than the stated THC value would suggest, and mentions nervousness. Another compared the effect with Jack Herer and described good spirits with a relaxed body feel. In the third, euphoria and clear focus are in the foreground, with dry eyes named as an accompanying effect. Dry mouth is listed elsewhere as a side effect.
