Secret Weapon

Two plants with different pedigrees circulate under the name Secret Weapon. The better documented one is the cross of Cheese Quake and White Widow from Vandal Genetics, a breeder from the US East Coast; strain descriptions and user reports refer to it. Separately, In House Genetics maintains a clone of the same name, which appears as a parent of several newer strains.

Genetics and Origin:

Vandal Genetics names as parents a Cheese Quake from the 2016 vintage by TGA, which the breeder describes as a Hempfest winner, and its in-house DP White Widow. Cheese Quake originated at Subcool's The Dank from Cheese and Querkle; the White Widow traces back in its pedigree to landraces from Brazil and India. Vandal classifies Secret Weapon as predominantly sativa. A US hemp flower producer states a ratio of 60 % sativa to 40 % indica for its product.

The Canadian breeder Pheno Farm Seeds crossed the Vandal line with itself and offers the result as Secret Weapon #103 in regular seeds, with a flowering time of 60 days.

Versions from Different Breeders:

Vandal Genetics offers Secret Weapon exclusively as feminized seeds and states a flowering time of about 60 days. According to the information on the Vandal version, the strain can be grown indoors and outdoors.

The Secret Weapon from In House Genetics follows a different pedigree, given as White Fire Alien × WiFi × Pie. It is only in circulation as a clone and served as a parent in several of the breeder's projects, among them Silky Johnson, a cross with Skywalker OG × Grateful Breath, and Double Kush Breath. Knock Out by Black Farm Genetix, crossed with Limosa, and Oooze, crossed with Cookies n Cream, also trace back to this clone.

Aroma and Flavor:

Vandal Genetics describes the taste as sweet and sour with a melon note. Other strain descriptions add sage, pine and a pungent smell, and one also mentions blueberry and an ammonia-like edge. Another speaks of earthy, spicy and cheesy tones with lemon, coffee and honey. One user report says the taste is herbal and pungent.

The descriptions agree on the terpene profile: beta-caryophyllene leads, followed by limonene and humulene, and the hemp flower producer names the same order. One strain description puts the levels at 0.861 mg/g caryophyllene, 0.645 mg/g limonene and 0.259 mg/g humulene, without naming a lab or batch.

Effects:

The user reports reviewed describe an activating effect. Focus, energy and creativity are named, along with uplifted mood, talkativeness and silliness. Several users explicitly report neither tiredness nor couch-lock. Individual reports additionally mention relaxation and euphoria, and one user found the strain strongly relaxing, which departs from the rest of the picture. Dry mouth and dry eyes are listed as side effects, and one report explicitly mentions very dry, reddened eyes.

THC Content:

The figures are far apart. One strain description gives 17 % THC and 1 % CBG, another 22.49 % THC. According to the producer, a lot of hemp flowers under this name contains 25.55 % THCA.
