Cereal a la Mode

Cereal a la Mode comes from the circle of the Cookies brand, a cross for which Powerzzzup Genetics combined Cereal Milk with Georgia Pie. Strain descriptions list Cookies and Powerzzzup jointly as breeders. In June 2022, a sample submitted by Fiore and Serge Cannabis took first place in the Best Looking category at the third edition of the Zalympix Championships. A preview report on the competition listed it as Cereal A La Mode #50 and described it as an intensified Cereal Milk.

Genetics and Origin:

Behind Powerzzzup Genetics is the breeder Kenny Dumetz of San Francisco, who works closely with Cookies. Cereal Milk came from Y Life and Snowman, Y Life in turn from Cookies and Cherry Pie; Gary Payton comes from the same selection line. Georgia Pie is a strain from Seed Junky Genetics, bred from Gelatti and Kush Mints.

A 2022 review names Serge Cannabis and Cookies Maywood among the breeders alongside Powerzzzup. Another strain description gives Sticky Buns as the second parent, yet its own description text also names Georgia Pie. Cereal a la Mode is classed as a balanced hybrid. It is documented as a parent of Cinnamon Milk, which Cookies and Powerzzzup obtained from a cross with Sherb Z #1.

Aroma and Flavor:

Cookies describes the scent as a blend of gas and sweetened condensed milk with a hint of graham cracker crust. In flavor, sweet breakfast cereal is said to come first, then vanilla ice cream, and finally berries. Other strain descriptions add butter, honey, diesel and spices, along with nutty and earthy notes.

Consumer reports pick up vanilla, sugar and milk and also mention caramel, pastry and cake base. A 2022 review compared the smell to sweet gasoline fumes and the taste to milky dough followed by an earthy sweetness; another reviewer noticed flowers and fruity cake in 2025. Some consumers found the flowers less sweet than expected or tasted something like stale plastic.

Every source names β-caryophyllene as the dominant terpene. A strain description that cites lab tests ranks linalool and myrcene behind it, while Cookies names humulene and limonene. For the sample presented at the Zalympix in 2022, a total terpene content of 2.1 % was stated; a batch labeled at retail came in at 1.77 %.

Effects:

Reports describe euphoria, cheerfulness up to silliness, a tingling in the body and relaxation. Creativity, talkativeness, hunger and increased desire also appear. Consumers disagree on whether the strain is more stimulating or more sedating: several found it invigorating with no tiredness as it wore off, while others report strong drowsiness and grogginess. Two detailed reviews from 2022 and 2025 describe a head-centered effect with little body effect.

Side effects mentioned are dry mouth, dry and glassy eyes, nervousness, dizziness and headaches.

THC Content:

Strain descriptions give 26 to 30 % THC, one of them adding 1 % CBG. Values stated for individual batches at retail, where no testing lab is named, range from 21.06 to 32.25 % THC; a batch packaged in Canada in 2024 was labeled 28.642 %. Values vary with batch, cultivation and phenotype.

Community Experiences:

On the appearance for which the strain was awarded in 2022, the descriptions agree: green to light green flowers with orange pistils and heavy trichome coverage, described as sticky in some reports. One strain description calls the flowers loose, and one user report compared color and structure with older Cookies strains.

Versions from Different Breeders:

Copycat Genetix crossed a cut of the strain that circulated only as a clone with itself and obtained feminized S1 seeds from it. Stated are 7 to 9 weeks of flowering, a high yield and suitability for indoor and outdoor cultivation.

Crop King Seeds, Vancouver Seed Bank and Sonoma Seeds give identical figures for their feminized versions: 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, 400 g/m² indoors, 650 g per plant outdoors, plus 26 % THC and 1 % CBD. The percentage matches a strain description, which, however, lists it as CBG. Crop King Seeds additionally names October as the outdoor harvest month and rates cultivation as easy, while Sonoma Seeds states 50 % each of indica and sativa.
