OG Eddy Lepp x The Original Z, indica-dominant, regular seeds only, never offered feminized; no information on flowering time, yield, height or THC.
OZ Kush
also known as OZK
OZ Kush crosses OG Eddy Lepp with The Original Z and comes from Dying Breed Seeds in Mendocino; lines from other breeders also circulate under the name.
A flower sample of OZ Kush from the recreational market in Michigan reached 21.6 % THCA and 20.2 % total THC with 0.0 % CBD in 2023. The strain comes from Dying Breed Seeds in Mendocino, California, and crosses OG Eddy Lepp with The Original Z, a line that many descriptions simply call Zkittlez. The short form OZK is also in common use.
Lab Results:
The analysis by IRON Laboratories, 2023 is a single measurement, and CBG came in at 0.1 % in it. Further figures exist without any lab being named: a flower product reviewed in 2021 was declared at 21.44 % THC and 0.07 % CBD, a Los Angeles producer states 27.05 % THC for its selection, and a user report cites a package label value of 30.57 %. Values vary by batch, cultivation and phenotype. Another strain description lists 24 % THC and 2 % CBG, far more CBG than in the lab measurement.
Genetics and Origin:
Dying Breed Seeds is led by Shiloh Massive and the 3rd Gen Family and has released OZ Kush only as regular seeds. The breeder classifies the cross as indica-dominant. A widely circulated pedigree traces OG Eddy Lepp back to OG Kush and Grape Ape, and The Original Z to a cross of Grape Ape and Grapefruit with an unknown strain. One strain description names Terp Hogz as an originator alongside the 3rd Gen Family, while the other sources name Dying Breed alone.
An indoor producer from Los Angeles germinated several packs early on and selected one plant from them for its own cultivation. Dying Breed crossed OZ Kush with Peach Rings to make Peach Ozz, and the backcross OZ Kush BX2 builds on that line. Sunken Treasure Seeds combined the strain with Wedding Cake to make OZ Kush Cake, Doja Seeds with Coffin Candy.
Aroma and Flavor:
Without percentages, 2 US producers name beta-caryophyllene, limonene and alpha-humulene as the leading terpenes, both with caryophyllene in first place. Another strain description ranks limonene ahead of caryophyllene and myrcene.
The aroma is described as sour citrus over pine, earth and fuel. Producers additionally stress a sweet side reminiscent of citrus candy and cream, and a trade review highlights tropical fruit alongside a lemony pine scent. Sour lemon and a light spiciness dominate the taste. User reports set other accents and mention honey, vanilla, berries, grapes, cheese or lavender; one report found the flowers earthy, woody and spicy, with no fruity note. The flowers themselves are considered dense and sticky, rich in trichomes, with orange pistils, and one producer describes green and purple tones.
Effects:
User reports center on relaxation, euphoria and good mood. Several accounts describe a fast onset and a transition into drowsiness and therefore assign the strain to the evening. Even consumers with high tolerance call the effect very strong. Diverging from this, individual users report creativity, focus, giddiness, bodily tingling or drive, and one report found the strain not overwhelming. Dry mouth and dry eyes are named as side effects, along with grogginess, dizziness and nervousness.
Versions from Different Breeders:
Soloud Genetics has released a feminized S1 version of the same cross of OG Eddy Lepp and Zkittlez, likewise under the abbreviation OZK. Geistgrow uses the name for a feminized cross of OZ Kush and Geist Grow OG.
O.Z. Kush from The Bulldog Seeds has a different pedigree: Kush and Silver Haze with a 70 % indica share, exclusively feminized. The Bulldog Seeds states 10 weeks of flowering and a yield of 500 to 600 g/m²; outdoors, the harvest falls in October. In the USA, CBD-rich hemp is also traded as OZ Kush and attributed to the supplier Hoku Seed Co; the parent lines given for it contradict each other.
